Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look together at this DeeZee replacement installation hardware. Now this is going to replace the installation hardware for your DeeZee's tailgate assist, and on your screen, I am including the model number of that tailgate assist that this hardware kit is going to fit. And this is going to be an easy, no drill installation on the driver's side. And this hardware is the direct replacement from the manufacturer.
So what that means for you is you can trust that this is going to fit right in place of that original hardware that you're needing to replace, whether some of it got damaged or maybe you're missing some pieces, you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues, fitment issues, or anything like that. Althought I love the tailgate assist, I had to replace the ball joint twice and at this point will not bother with a third one.

I busted up my tail gate and needed replacement parts for my Dee Zee tailgate assist. I love their product. Easy to install and works like a champ! I use it on my RAM 1500. Highly recommend.

I ordered a DeeZee Tailgate Assist and repair kit for my 2016 Ram 1500. The package arrived just a few days after being ordered. I have yet to install due to 15 degree weather in April, but I know that it will work just fine since I have prior experience with this product.

They new style plate on the tailgate is way better than the original ball-nut. Drilling a new hole was easy and made the insert sleeve more sturdy under stress than before. More than satisfied!

This is the perfect kit to use when a person trades trucks every couple of years. Thete is no need to replace the whole assembly with this. And best of all, shipping was fast.

Follow directions mark bolt and washer don't over tighten and it will work great!!

I was after the blind nut, no funny!, and this worked perfectly. More than needed but was fairly cheap anyway. Worked great back in business !

- Why Would Nutsert Pop Out of Tailgate After DeeZee Tailgate Assist InstallLooks like you overtightened the nutsert which stripped it out and rendered it unusable. You would need to order the part # BKT43301 and be careful not to strip out the new nutsert.

If you just need to replace that part use # BKT43301. You have to be very careful not to over tighten this fitting otherwise it will get stripped out and you would need another one.

- Removing Nutsert to Replace Hardware for DeeZee Tailgate Assist DZ43301If the existing nutsert from DeeZee Tailgate Assist # DZ43301 is stripped out or is otherwise unable to come out then you may be able to gently pry it out some and then get some vise grips around it and pull it out. Otherwise it will likely have to be drilled out. Some tailgates do have panels on the inside that can come off to access the inner workings of the tailgate so in some cases you may be able to force it out through the inside.
