Video Transcript for Review of Lippert Components RV Doors - Entry Door - LC198295

Today we're gonna take a look at the replacement entry door hinge for RVs. This is going to have a six leaf design in white. So this is gonna allow you to replace that door hinge on the entryway to your RV. And still allow you to have your screen door and your outside door functional. We'll have our different hinge lengths here so you can get all those connections made. Now this doesn't come with any hardware, so you will have to either reuse the existing hardware from your old door, or purchase some new ones. It's gonna have a durable metal construction. Again, it does come in white.

We'll have two of our flanges, or leafs that already have pre drilled holes. Three of them will need to be drilled out to match up with your door. And then we'll have our last hinge, it's gonna be a little bit longer to fit on that inner door.As far as the overall length of this, it is 9 1/4" long. The overall width of our shorter pieces are going to be about 2 1/8" long. And this longest flange is about 2 1/2" long. And that's gonna do it for our look at the replacement entry door hinge for RVs..

My old door hinges started to seize up and these were great replacements. Very similar to my previous ones.

Great service from this company. I went to a local camper dealer to try and get these parts and was told I had to order a whole door. Parts arrived in 2 days and my door is as good as new.

by:

Installed easy. I had to replace 2 hinges after being crushed while bringing in a slide out on my 5th wheel. The cost between the what I ordered and replacing the original part was almost 4 times more. ( I needed black)

Ordered the available white, do to me being cheap and just needing the door to operate appropriately. My rv has two entry doors and this is the secondary door. White and friction hinge was not a priority.

Arrives in a bag. No white sheet or instructions. Although it's self explanatory.

Reused the screw fasteners from the original hinges holding the screen door and holding the door hinge in place to the frame.

Used a grinding wheel for rivets holding the door hinge to the frame. Installed the new hinges with existing screws and replaced the rivets with #8 self tapping sheet metal screws. Predrilled holes with 9/64 drill bit. (recommended 11/64) Screws went in nicely with a moderate drive.

Quite happy with the results.

I ordered what I thought was the same hinges from Amazon and they were nothing but cheap knockoffs that broke within 4 days. These hinges that I ordered from etrailer were original lippert hinges. I’ll always look here from now on for all my RV parts first.

I've been having issues with my 2021 camper doors since I got it. I got 1 replaced by camping world due to friction hinge failure ripping the door apart. Now the other door is doing the same thing. These hinges will replace the useless friction hinges perfectly. Great product at a great price.

It fit on an old tack room door from a 1995 featherlite horse trailer after some modifications. It took a whole weekend to correct the damage to the door which occurred during a questionable effort to move the trailer with the door open.

by:

I filed the bottom of the pin off, to rearrange the leaves like the one I taken off. They worked great.

by:

The original hinge became “sticky” and loud. I tried WD-40, lithium spray, and penetrating oils. I even drilled little holes in the bad hinge to help the sprays soak in after watching YouTube videos.

This hinge was a perfect replacement and took less than a half hour to replace including the time it took me to find a rivet gun I used a decade ago and watch a YouTube on how to use the gun.

I’m very happy to finally have the door opening and closing smoothly after putting up with this for over a year.

A year later, still working great.

by:

Hinge replacement worked perfect; the on-line instructions were very easy to follow. The door works better than it ever has. I originally called a couple of RV service places to see about buying a hinge and was told that it could not be done I would need to buy a whole new door unit which would run about $500. This is not the first time we have done business with etrailer.com and will not be the last.

by:

Correct, hard to find part. Hard to find instructions online with the part too. Shipped and delivered very fast. This has always been the case with etrailer. Great phone customer service and knowledgeable technical support too. Great company to do business with!

by:

They worked great

by:

Very quick shipping. Great service. Appreciated the link to replacement instructions as well.

by:

Exact replacement. Now to just drill out those darn rivets holding them to the frame.

by:

Needed hinges for my 1999 Aerolite. After a lot of phone calls and emails I was ready to give up. Then I stumbled onto etrailer. Not only did they have pictures they also had them in stock! They sent them right out and problem solved!

by:

They were a great replacement part. Worked perfectly

by:

The order was filled promptly and was a perfect replacement for the old part.

by:

They were the wrong ones. I didn’t return. My fault

by:

Straight forward install if you are han dy.

by:

Screw holes didn’t line up but I just drilled new jholes. Np

Great product! Easy install. Quiet and smooth performance!

by:

I’ve been very careful with this door since Exiss quit making replacement parts.
The hinge from e trailer worked beautifully , it’s stronger then the original .

by:

I have no use for friction hinges, these fixed my problem

by:

The hinge is exactly what was needed fit great. Needed black but just painted it.

by:

This part is what should have been used
In
the first place

Thanks

by:

The hinges look great! I’m installing them today. My door would close, but it was hitting at the top corner. Just by removing the bottom friction hinge, the door closed properly! The friction hinge is a good idea, but of poor design.
