Galvanized Steel
Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

Today were going to take a look at part number CE30002G. This is a Tongue Skid for pole tongue trailers. This galvanized trailer tongue skid is designed to keep your trailer up off the ground while its not connected to your hitch. Dimensions of this product is its 4 inches tall by 1-1/2 inches wide. The whole forward tab will need to be 1/2 inch. The hole is going to be a 1/2 inch diameter.
This part is designed to work with two 1/2 inch holes at the bottom of the tongue. The one bolt hole going towards the coupler will use the bolt and the hole going towards the back of the trailer, the bracket has a tab that goes straight into it and thats it. With that that will finish it for part number CE30002G from CE Smith.

This little beauty saved the day when the boat trailer became disconnected from the tow vehicle while in motion. The tongue skid was ground nearly in half but prevented damage to the trailer hitch. Sacrificial skid saved the day and replacement cost of new hitch
