Video Transcript for Redline Trailer Fenders PF775-BKT-2 Review

Today we're going to be reviewing part number PF775-BKT-2. These are the Redline galvanized steel L shaped bolt-on brackets for plastic, single-axle fender, part number PF775X21W. Two brackets are included. These easily just bolt on to the fender and trailer. Hardware is sold separately. It's constructed of a galvanized steel.

Let's go over a few measurements real quick. The longer leg is going to give us an overall length of seven and a half inches, and the shorter leg is going to give us an overall length of four inches. On the longer leg you can see that we have two different size . or two holes. These are the same size, in a square design.

From the center of one to the center of the other it's going to measure three and a half inches. Each one of those square holes is going to give us a diameter of three-eighths of an inch. It is square so that's going to be identical on all sides, and it's going to be identical for every hole. Here on the short side we have four holes. From the center of one to the center of the other, right next to each other, is going to measure seven-eighths of an inch. That's going to be the same for all of them.

The distance from the one on this side to the one on this side is going to give us a measurement of three . I'm sorry, it's going to give us a measurement, center to center, of two and five-eighths of an inch. The brackets are going to measure an inch and a half in width. I do have the fender here that they are designed to go with just to show you how it would actually install. The long leg is going to slide in and then the mounting holes are going to line up perfectly.

You do that one each side. You can install your hardware, and then you're ready to secure the brackets with the short leg to the trailer. That's going to do it for today's review of part number PF775-BKT-2. These are the Redline Galvanized Steel L-Shaped Bolt-On Brackets. .

Solid piece of metal for sure. Well galvanized and I expect it to last a long time.

by:

Brackets worked well with fenders although some modification was necessary to adapt brackets to trailer. I am pleased with the end result especially since I was replacing metal fenders that had failed through corrosion and ware. I feel that the plastic fenders offered a better alternative because I was able to carve out part of the fender to allow a better fit. The metal brackets are much more sturdier than the previous arrangement and I feel the fenders are more aesthetically appealing.

by:

worked great for replacing fender brack ets

by:

Brackets worked well after drilling some new holes in trailer frame and and fender plastic. Fender steps can easily support my #185 body weight

by:

They Are exactly what I needed for my home built camper. thanks, I will post a review

by:

I bought these to mount My newly purchased Fulton Plastic Fenders on My Utility Trailer. They were a perfect fit for the Fenders. All that was needed was to drill a few holes, and on went My new Fenders. They came packaged in a small box, inside of a larger box that both of the Fenders were in. The packaging was Excellent, so that they would not bounce around causing possible damage to the Fenders or Boxes during Shipment; which was Very Fast. The brackets are Good Quality, and easily line up, and mount to the Fenders and the Trailer. Very Happy with the Purchase of these. Made it real easy. Thank You Very Much!

by:

Everything is still working and I can step on the fenders without fear.

Its all still good.

by:

Just a basic bracket to mount a fender on my utility trailer. Pretty heavy duty; looks like it will easily support far more weight than it will need to (it will hold a fender with a step, so more than my body weight plus whatever load I may be lifting at the time). Finish is very rough. Hole locations are good: 4 inch spacing on the long side and 7/8 inch on the short side.

by:

strong, well made. going to weld them to my trailer frame to hold 16 ga. fenders I purchases elsewhere. My initial order included (2) Fulton Plastic fenders, was going to use these brackets to install.. Big mistake!! the Fulton Fenders are junk...returned them and ordered 16 ga. steel fenders instead

by:

The delivery of the brackets was very quick, they shipped out the same day they were ordered and arrived within two days. The brackets are substantial and well made. They are 1/4 inch thick with a heavy galvanized coating and will work well on my boat trailer. They do space the fender out further than my trailer needed, but I attached them to the inside of the frame which worked out well.

by:

Not much to say about brackets. They are good quality and exactly as described.

by:

Product was received quicker than expected and was exactly as advertised. These brackets are heavy duty (1/4" thick). I used them for bunk supports on my jet ski trailer and found that they are much better than the brackets that came new on the trailer. I would highly recommend this product to others.

by:

The fender mount brackets arrived promptly with the other items. The quality is good, but I don't think I would buy these parts again. I think I could fabricate brackets that would work just as well and perhaps easier to mount to the trailer frame. Also, they were quite expensive.

by:

These worked out great for the jeep style trailer fenders using 4.80-12 wheels.

by:

I bought these L brackets for construction use as the steel gauge, finish, and quality were twice as good as what I could get at Home Depot and Lowes and half of the price too. Great value!

by:

Great product, it allowed me to mount Wheel fenders on my kayak trailer!
Thanks!

by:

arrived quickly, exactly as billed. I am using it as a roof mount for an awning on my SUV...works perfectly. great company interaction & product

by:

brackets and fenders went on easily extending the life of this old trailer

by:

Heavy duty, worked great with jeep style fenders.

by:

As described. Works well

by:

Love the fenders,, They will work great for my car dolly.. And they were $100.00 cheaper than the ones form the manufacture of my car dolly.

Thanks
Darold

by:

Everything was as sold. Parts still going strong. Etrailer was a good company to do business with.

by:

Great customer service, however, pre-drilled holes do not match up on the fender as advertised. Have not installed them yet, still deciding on whether or not to modify so as to be able to install.

by:

Very heavy duty brackets! The holes don't match exactly to the Fulton style b fenders but with a little modification to the fender holes they will do just fine.

by:

Super fast shipping and heavy duty quality. Only wish it was easier to find which bolts, nuts and washers I should get.

  • Mounting Brackets For a Fulton Plastic Trailer Fender # F008561
As you probably already know, fenders can mount to trailers in any number of ways so there is no set method of installation. Most of the time you will need to attach them with brackets like # PF775-BKT-2 and use your own hardware to install to the fenders and mount to the trailer frame. How you attach the brackets to the fenders and then to the trailer is up to you. The brackets we carry may or may not line up with the holes you mentioned that are on your trailer.

To mount trailer fender # F008554 you can either use your own brackets and hardware or you can use brackets # PF775-BKT-2 and your own hardware to mount the fender. It is up to you how you want to mount the fender since all trailers are different. There is no set way to mount the fender.

  • How to Mount a Fulton Black Plastic Trailer Fender for 14 Inch Tires
The great thing about the plastic fenders like # F008554 is that because they require the user to determine the best method of mounting them, you can attach them to the trailer based on what you have available. You can add brackets # PF775-BKT-2 if needed but ultimately as long as they are properly secured it is up to you. You may need to relocate or bend the lower bracket somewhat though based on the measurements of the fender.

You can mount the fenders directly to the trailer frame through the fender skirt on the back of the fender. I would recommend using large washers if you drill through the fender skirt and attach the fender directly to the trailer frame. If mounting directly to the trailer frame is not possible on your trailer, you will need to use brackets to attach the fenders.
