How to Determine the Correct Replacement Landing Gear For a 2007 Artic Fox 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

HI- We have a 2007 Arctic Fox 5th wheel and our landing gear broke. What is the size we need? We have a motor we just dont know what the most reasonable part would be.

Unfortunately, we do not know what size landing gear you need from your RV information. The RV industry is too inconsistent. This means that you will need to take some measurements and get some information from your current landing gear.

You need to know what weight capacity you are needing, the measurement between weld stops and leg height.

For instance the Landing Gear Set # RVLG-8000 has an 8,000lb. rating and has weld stops with outside measurements of 17-1/2". The landing gear has a retracted height of 32-3/4" and an extended height of 53-1/4". It is okay if the replacement landing gear is slightly longer than what you currently have, but you would not want to go shorter.

This is a pretty universal system and would likely fit your 2007 Artic Fox, but I strongly encourage verifying the measurements to be sure.
