Can Fifth Wheel Landing Gear be Installed Externally?

I have a 1986 kit 5th wheel and the landing gear is completely exposed. All the videos show am external Install. Will this work for an external setup?

Yes the etrailer Landing Gear Set - 36-1/2" Lift - 8,000 lbs part # RVLG-8000 can be used in the both the older exposed gear applications as well as the newer internal type of applications.

I've included the video Jon did on the landing gear giving you more information on them.

Hey Ronald, the landing gear part #RVLG-8HDL does not come with new brackets but we have them available with the part #LG-Brackets. These will need to be welded on as there isn't a way to bolt on the jacks to the brackets you have now.
