Dimensions of etrailer Brand RVLG-8HDL and RVLG-8000 Replacement 5th Wheel Landing Gear

Question:

I found you have had several people already contact you regarding replacing discontinued Atwood landing gear systems and have recommend either the RVLG-8HDL or RVLG-8000. While the spacing between the existing welded mounting tabs match what I have on my 5th wheel, on my my 5th wheel the bottom of the welded lower tab on the Atwood is 10inch to the inside bottom of the 5th wheel. Can you send me a complete dimensional diagram of the RVLG-8HDL and RVLG-8000 showing the total over all length of the unit 2.5inch tube along with the distance from the top to the upper welded tap and the distance from the bottom to the lower welded tab? I know that I will have to weld new brackets to make either of these work, I just need to figure out where I need to place the brackets so that the foot of the leg when fully retracted is below the bottom of the storage compartment.

The only difference between the # RVLG-8HDL and the # RVLG-8000 is that the # RVLG-8HDL includes the manual crank handle, while the # RVLG-8000 doesn't. The dimensions for both are the same.

• Retracted Height of 32-3/4 inches
• Extended Height of 53-1/4 inches

The tabs for the mounting straps measure 17-1/2 inches from the top of the top most tab to the underside of the lower tab. From the underside of the top tab to the top of the lower tab is 15-1/2 inches.

I've shown these dimensions on a photo for you.
