Will Anti-Rattle Device Compromise Shock Absorption of Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount for 2 Inch Hitches
Question:
How to stop rattling without compromising the shock absorber. The OEM receiver on my vehicle is a tad bigger than this ball mount many owners of my vehicle complain about this so it isnt the products fault that the ball mount is noisy in my receiver. I believe you have products that help with this. But would they compromise the intended play in the shock absorbers of this product?

I can definitely see why you might think that, but an anti-rattle device is not going to compromise the shock absorption of the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # AMSC2. The polyurethane interior of the ball mount will continue to be effective for its intended purpose and reduce vibration, but without an anti-rattle device, the play inside a larger OEM hitch will continue.
So with that in mind I definitely recommend the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches # RM-061 which will secure the Convert-A-Ball in your hitch and reduce play as it is specifically designed for reducing the side-to-side and up-and-down motion of a ball mount in a hitch. Also, please keep in mind the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch will only work if your OEM hitch receiver has a collar,
I have added links to video reviews of these products for you to check out as well.
