This allows you to mount your bike racks to Thule load bars with channels such as the AeroBlade, AeroBlade Edge, Rapid Aero for the Xporter truck racks.It includes the adaptor and necessary mounting, the hardware. This metal bracket right here is coated with a rubber so it does not scratch or damage anything that it comes into contact with. And it comes with the included hardware here. So we have the metal bracket. We have the square-head bolts and we have the mounting nuts.And then the instructions are detailed.
They walk you through step-by-step. The whole process for getting it installed, so you got step one and two right there on the front page. Flip it over and it completes the process. Allows you to mount Thule roof-mounted bike carriers (Peloton or Echelon) to the the AeroBlade, AeroBlade Edge, Rapid Aero bars or Xsporter truck rack.I used the adapter to fit a Thule Peloton bike carrier (previously used with square Thule load bars) to the factory roof rack on our Mini Clubman. The adapter works out well in this application; the only thing to note is that re-using the round-head bolts that came with the Peloton carrier with the thick vinyl-coated bracket in this adapter kit results in VERY little room to fit the nuts that hold the bracket on -- it just about works, and seems to do so safely, but it is a very tight fit.
The Thule Bike Rack Adaptor to go from square bars to aero cross bars was an easy purchase. Otherwise, I would have had to two new bike racks. It saved me a lot of money! etrailer.com was a great place to buy the needed parts, and they were quick with shipping them to me. I watched their video on the installation, and within an hour, both racks were installed and ready to go. Thanks etrailer.com for easy transaction.
I used this kit to fit my Thule Peloton to my OEM VW aero rails. This kit will also work for other aero rails - which have the distinctive feature of having a T-slot.
Keep in mind that for this kit to work, you need to have all of the original bike carier components. Check the fit kit instructions. In addition to the pictured components, you need two bolts, two plates, and two knob fasteners that come with the bike carrier originally.
The Thule adapter worked perfectly! I am able to use the Prologue bike rack on the Thule aero bars from the Subaru accessories catalogue. I really appreciate the help!

The square head screws were not long enough at all. I ended up only getting to use half of my order and making my racks work by using screws from an old rack. The transition didn't go exactly as I had hoped.
