The tongue weight of your Jayco 27 BH with a dry weight of 7,500 lbs would be 750 lbs to 1,125 lbs. This would be with no load in the trailer. The tongue weight is the amount of the trailers weight at the coupler that presses down on the hitch ball. The optimum tongue weight is usually 10 to 15 percent of the trailers weight.

To get the correct towing tongue weight of your trailer you will need to know the gross trailer weight of the trailer, which is the weight of your trailer and its contents.

So for an example if the dry weight of your trailer is 7,500 lbs and the contents will be 800 lbs, the gross trailer weight would be 8,300 lbs. If loaded properly the tongue weight would then be 830 lbs to 1,245 lbs. When loading a trailer, make sure that you have an approximately 60 to 40 percent split, with 60 percent of the weight being in front of the trailer axle. This will help minimize any sway that might occur when towing the trailer.

To get the exact tongue weight on your loaded trailer you would need to weigh the loaded trailer at the trailer tongue. I am including a link to a FAQ page that will show you how to measure the tongue weight on a loaded trailer.
