Will Fastway Flip Automatic Fold-Up Jack Foot Function When the First Ground Contact is Horizontal
Question:
About the Fastway Flip FA88-6500. Will this product still flip vertical when it first contacts the ground in the horizontal position?

Expert Reply:
The Fastway Flip Automatic Fold-Up Jack Foot for 2-1/4" Jacks - 6" Extension # FA88-00-6500 will most likely not flip vertical when it makes contact with the ground in the horizontal position. It is designed to flip first when being deployed and flip last when being retracted. I've attached a video of the function to assist. The torque on the assembly under the weight of the trailer would most likely cause malfunction if used in the manner you stated.
If you are unsure of your ground clearance, you may want to consider the 4 inch extension # FA88-00-4500 instead to still allow for the faster drop, but ensure you don't make contact with the ground horizontally.
If you are sure you won't have the ground clearance for the extension, then I recommend not using this foot on your jack.
