Typical Trailer Suspension Hanger Spacing Relative to Leaf Spring Size

Hi how much wider does the leaf spring hargers need yo be than the leaf spring from memory it is 35mm is this correct please. I am putting in a 2 ton axle with 9 leaf springs on a single axle my caravan is 1800kg loaded. Thanks

On single axle trailers typically you put the hanger spacing right at 1/4 of an inch shorter than the leaf spring length from eye to eye center. So if you were using the leaf spring part # e54SR that you referenced which measures 25-1/8 inches long from eye to eye unloaded the hanger spacing you'd want to use would be 24-7/8 inches. The hanger kit for this leaf spring typically is the part # APS4.
