Traditional tank monitors have a reputation for being unreliable. Only a few sensors are installed inside, meaning that they usually only measure in quarter increments and can send false readings if they get dirty. When you're keeping an eye on how much fresh water you have, the difference between 25% full and empty means a lot, and that inaccuracy can be a problem.
The SeeLeveL tank monitoring system uses technology that can sense fluid levels from the outside of the tank. The sensors' flexible circuit board sticks in place and measures along its entire height. This makes it accurate in single-digit increments.
LPG Monitoring
Large RVs with permanent propane tanks often feature wired sensors on their gauges. These can go by different names, such as LPG gauge sensors, tank level monitors, remote ready dials, or R3D dials. If your RV has an interior panel for monitoring LPG levels, you know you're good to go with wiring already in place for an easy install. If you're not sure, check the tank itself. If the gauge has a wired sensor attached to it, you can connect it to the SeeLeveL monitor.
SeeLeveL sensors used for fresh, gray, and black tanks will not work on metal tanks of any kind, including LPG tanks.

Now, if your RV tank monitor readings will change from 25% to empty in the blink of an eye that's gonna be a problem. Traditional tank monitors have a reputation for being unreliable. They use only a few sensors which are installed inside meaning that they usually only measure in quarter increments and can send false readings if they get dirty.
So when you're keeping an eye on how much fresh water you have the difference between 25% full and empty means a lot. And that inaccuracy could be a problem. This monitor here will display the levels of the RV's fresh gray and black tanks at the push of a button. It hard-wires to the SeeLeveL sensors that are mounted on the outside of the tanks. Now, the sensors we do sell separately on our website.
They come in different lengths. I happen to pull a 12 inch version just to show you what we're talking about. These are the sensors with the pigtails on them, and you can see you just remove the backing and attach to the outside of your tanks. Now, this monitor will also detect battery voltage and it can be wired to the remote sensor on your LPG tank gauge to read propane levels. This will check status and signal strength of sensors using diagnostic mode helps improve accuracy during the install.
And it alerts you of any errors or calibration issues with various display codes. And those codes are explained with suggested solutions in the user's manual. Now this thing will even work with multiple monitors, so that you can check the tank status from the service bay and inside your RV. Those monitors, we do sell separately on our website. And this does install easily.
You just cut a 1 7/8 inch by three inch size hole for this recess to mount the monitor and then comes with the included screws to install it. It does include the pigtail. You can see that's needed for installation. And you can even use the existing wiring from your old tank monitor system to make the installation even easier. Aapplication, this is for three holding tank systems. And the last thing I wanna do is measure the monitor itself to give an idea of the size of it. So the width of it is right at four inches. Overall height is gonna be 2 3/4 inches tall. And your total depth with the plug in there is about 1 1/4 inches deep.
