Today we're going to be taking a look at the 12-foot long Malone Cam Buckle Load Straps with Buckle Protectors, part number MPG307-12. These also come in nine-feet long, 15-feet long as well as 18-feet long. The Malone Cam Buckle Load Straps with Buckle Protectors are great for tying down your kayaks, your canoes, or your stand up paddleboards on your Malone Water Sport Carriers. The rubber portion here underneath our buckle has a neoprene sleeve around it, and this is going to ensure that your kayak, your canoe, or your stand up paddleboard won't get scratched once this is being installed. These are UV resistant straps with cross-box stitching at the end for a sturdy hold. The buckles themselves are galvanized and corrosion resistant and have a no-slip center spring-tension device to make sure your strap stays tight. It has a pull strength of 1,200 pounds.
This will come in a quantity of two straps. Now that we've gone over some of the features of the strap, let's go ahead and show you how it installs. Once you open the package, these are the two straps that you'll get. Now we'll move on to our kayak carrier, install the straps and stow our kayak, cinch them down and we'll be ready to go. Putting our buckle end through first so making sure they sit inaudible 00:01:15 here on this particular kayak carrier. And we'll repeat that for our front mount. And now we can install our kayak.
So, we'll take our straps, bring them around the front of our kayak, making sure our buckles are about half-way up there. We'll do this for the front as well. How this particular kayak loads up, we'll bring our strap underneath and up. We'll come to our buckle here, and we'll pull our cover back just a little bit for a little bit better view here. You can see it has a point to thread our open-end strap through.
Push that through first. We'll feed it through our buckle, bring that down and around. We'll pull the strap nice and tight, pulling our protective cover back around it. Then tying off our excess. Now we're ready to attach our inaudible 00:02:22 tie-downs if we have them, and we're ready to hit the road. And there you have it for the Malone Cam Buckle Load Straps with Buckle Protectors..

These are the perfect size for a kayak on a roof rack with saddles. They don't stay super tight but I can't tell if that is normal or due to minor shifting of the kayak. I like them though.
Easy to use. They secure my kayaks well and sure beat the heck out of ratchet straps which always give me problems.
Great, nice to have Thule quality without the Thule price. Gave it 4 star only because I have not used it extensively
These are sturdy, reliable straps. We use two of them to tie a canoe to the roof crossbars on our Subaru Outback. It's great to have padding on the buckles in order to protect the canoe and the car. It does take a bit of hand strength to slide or hold the pads out of the way when threading the strap through buckle. I searched the web quire bit to find suitable cam straps, and etrailer's selection of strap styles and lengths is very good.
Better than the Thule straps that came with my roof rack. Easy on and easy off. Very secure hold over long trips through 4 states. Very important tool for peace of mind in toting three kayaks hither and yon.
I did a lot of reading about cam lashing straps before I ordered from Etrailer and this is the best ,a great strap at a great price. Look carefully before you buy a strap to make sure it will hold up, losing a boat or any load will be way more then you save on a cheap strap made from the wrong material.
Perfect for our kayaks, strong and appreciate the buckle protectors. These straps are difficult to find in stores. Competitive price and quick delivery. I would recommend etrailer to anyone.
Awesome load straps at a great price. No longer will I ding up my paint job loading my kayaks etc. Thanks Etrailer!
This was one of the few places who had these hard to find straps in stock. They are replacing my old ones so I know their quality. Once I placed the order I received a very nice, personal email from George who recommended a similar item that was on sale and would arrive quicker. Throughout the order I received updates from them about the status/delivery of my order. Such efficient and personal service. I will for sure order from them again as well as recommend to my friends.
Will work very well for strapping a cart to the roof rack
Good quality, replacing sun-damaged Thule straps.
Good quality straps, but they are nearly impossible to get the strap threaded through the slot on pad that wraps the buckle. they are also really hard to get them super tight, so overall I wouldn't recommend.
What I needed when I needed it. Quick informative answers to my questions. Thank you
Excellent product selection and customer service. Speedy delivery and follow up.
Safe from scratching the car
Are strong and secure for the kayaks.
