Can Malone Cam Buckle Load Straps MPG307-18 Be Used To Secure Kayaks To 2021 Audi AllRoad?

Question:

Im looking for two pairs of cam buckle straps to use to tie down the bow and stern of our kayaks while we are transporting them on our Thule Compass 890000. Currently I am using rope with the Rhino-Rack Bonnet/Boot anchor straps, which works but its a pain to be tying and retying knots to try and get the right amount of tension. Will the MPG307-18 do the job? And does it come in a color other than yellow The vehicle is a 2021 Audi AllRoad All of our equipment except the kayaks obviously :- was purchased from etrailer and is working great. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your continued business!

You can absolutely use Malone Cam Buckle Load Straps with Buckle Protectors - 18' Long - Yellow - Qty 2 # MPG307-18 you were looking at to secure the bow and stern of your kayaks to your 2021 Audi AllRoad.

These will work perfectly with the Rhino-Rack Anchor Straps # RRRBAS-2 you purchased, and will be much easier than using a rope like you are currently using.

The Malone Cam Buckle is available in different colors but the each color is also a different length. The Blue # MPG307-9 is 9' long and the Red # MPG307-12 is 12' long.

Since your AllRoad is not too long you can more than likely get away with any of these lengths, but I recommend going with the # MPG307-12 as its 12' length will be plenty long but not leave you with as much excess as the 18' long # MPG307-18.

If none of these colors are something you are fond of then the etrailer Kayak Tie-Down Kit # e36ZR may be right up your alley. This kit includes two tie-down anchors, four grey cam buckles that are 13' in length, and two additional straps that are 8' in length.

I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
