Video Transcript for Camco Propane - Hoses - CAM57703 Review

Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Camco low pressure, LP gas regulator with the six foot long hose. Now this six foot long hose will let you connect your Olympian wave gas heater or any large gas barbecue grill to the type one propane cylinder. This does install very quickly and easily. It does include a low pressure regulator and it is rated for 70,000 BTU an hour maximum outlet flow. It does also maintain a constant 11 inch water column outlet pressure. And it is equipped with an excess flow protection for safety.

The inlet right here is a type one acme connector with the coupling nut to attach to the propane cylinder and the outlet here has a 3/8 inch female clear swivel nut connector. But that should do it for the review on the Camco low pressure, LP gas regulator with the six foot long hose.

Got this for a Wave 3 heater. works fine. Since I was dealing with heater, I didn't want to mess around with a 3rd party product and stuck with what would've originally come with the product.

Initially I thought 12 feet of hose would be too long, but it worked out perfectly. My RV with two electric heaters on low warmed up to 37 degrees (F) inside, when the outside dropped to -20 degrees. The next day with two 20A power circuits and two electric heaters on high (1500 watts) it warmed up to a toasty 42 degrees. The next day (same -20 outside) with my Camco hose and regulator feeding my 25kbtu propane furnace my temperature climbed to 69 degrees and held between 65 and 69 degrees. I bumped the setpoint and ran between 68 and 72. My furnace loves this hose and regulator. FTR Watts * 3.14 = BTUs (close enough)... 25kbtu is like 5.3 electric heaters running at 1500 watts each. 7.5 gallons of LPG (propane) lasted about 15 hours at -20 outside. 7.5 gallons was all I could use from a 9 gallon tank at those cold outside temperatures. I can use 9 gallons at 40 degrees outside and I'm getting seven days on a 9 gallon tank. I found out the hard way that catalytic heat for long term coats my lungs and rusts the metal door panels of my RV. That's why I migrated to a furnace for heat.

Work as intended for.

A good cover

Works perfect to run a Mr. Heater 30,000 BTU (5 panel) Radiant LP GAS Vent-Free Wall Heater!
Customer Service person Diana was a pleasure and she checked with the manufacturer for me to be sure the regulator was rated adequately to supply this heater. It supplies it just fine and is great quality!
If your LP gas has lots of moisture you might need to look into a two stage regulator with a vent for the moisture to seep out, and make note of where the vent is horizontally or vertically placed. And follow all local codes and regulations. I'm not a LP gas professional...these are just my opinions.

1st time used etrailer was very nervous for ordered a [fifth wheel hitch slider]. No need to worry! It came in two huge packages. I was impressed. Excellent job! I ordered a hose for my propane heater 2nd order & it was also prompt & am very happy with etrailer. Very competitive pricing also to my local shops.

  • Will Camco Propane Low Pressure Regulator and Hose CAM57703 Work with a Refrigerator
I did some checking and the Camco Low-Pressure LP Gas Regulator w/ 6' Long Hose Item # CAM57703 is rated for a maximum of 75,000 BTUs per hour and an 11 inch water column. Check to see what the refrigerator requires to determine if this rating is compatible. Regulators are rated using BTUs and water column information. The hose has a psi rating but the pressure would never get anywhere near what the hose is rated for which is 350 PSIG (the G means the pressure is relative to the atmospheric...

  • How to Connect Champion Dual Fuel Generator to Airstream LPG Port
It sounds like you are trying to connect your Champion generator to the quick disconnect propone outlet on your Airstream that is commonly used to connect propane accessories such as a grill or griddle, is this correct? If so, you will want to use part # 100304-120-MBS. If you are wanting to connect directly to your propane tank, the best way to do that would be to simply unhook one of your propane lines at the tank and use part # CAM57703 to go from the tank to the generator.

  • Recommended LP Regulator For A Propane Fire Pit/Table Top Heater
If your propane fire pit/table top heater already has a regulator you won't want to have a second regulator on the line. If there is no regulator it really just depends on the connections to the tank and the fire pit/table top heater. The easiest would be to use a hose like the # CAM57629 or # CAM57703 that come with regulators on them and attaching them to a propane bottle.
