Hose brass fitting (#600, 1"-20) that attaches to stove fitting is very soft brass. The stove bottle fitting is typically steel. The combination of the soft brass and fine threads make it easy to cross-thread. Even if carefully threaded repeated reconnection will eventually wear out the soft brass. I leave the stove bottle fitting attached to the hose. It will still store inside a Coleman stove, hose and all. Don't know if the hose fittings are outsourced even though hose is supposedly made in US. There are different grades of brass (red brass, etc). Perhaps Sturgis should investigate or upgrade.

by:

this gave me options in case I run out of propane in the small bottles or I can just skip them altogether at $6 a piece this will pay for itself shortly, the 6' length works well for me

by:

Well worth the money spent, I have saved at least as much being able to connect to a 5lb propane tank. Quality is good, assembles to grill and tank with ease.

by:

Easy ordering and fast shipping - always pleased!

Made in USA. etrailer is the most professional RV supplier anywhere. The customer service and follow-up is incredible!

Unfortunately, the first time I went to use the hose it was full of surface cracks big enough to put a finger nail into. This was after the return period. I did not expect anything, but I did e-mail etrailer to let them know to check their stock for this defect so no one else would receive a defective product like this. etrailer had me ship it back to them and they refunded my purchase price less shipping. Thank you to etrailer for standing behind their products.

by:

Made in USA and quick delivery. I have not tried it yet but will change my review if it fails prematurely. I bought one on Am**on which was Chinese junk. Lasted 6 duty cycles then the 20lb connector failed while dry camping. As soon as i got to a local W**M**t i purchased one of their Blackstone hoses to make it through my trip. Same result as the first one. Returned both. More China junk. Thank you etrailer for stocking USA products. No matter what the price differences are, products should last a reasonable amount of time. USA products are generally superior to the rest of the world.

The hose is still working perfectly after many uses throughout the year.

by:

Super! Thanks to your phone support the hose fits perfectly!

We bought a small grill for our 5th wheel. My brother-in-law has a similar grill and one evening while cooking steaks the small bottle of propane ran empty. By the time he got the flame going again, the steaks cooled and with reheating them they were over cooked. This hose solves the problem because you can connect it to a 20 or 30 lb tank of propane.

Works great. Use it with portable grill and 30 gal propane tank when we travel in our 5th wheel.

by:

Order shipped quickly and was as advert ised.

by:

High quality. Perfect fit for my ozark trail camp stove. Fast delivery

by:

This is exactly what we needed to connect our grill to the larger propane bottle. It is the perfect length, and of high quality.

We love it! It works great, and it is so convenient to not have to continually buy the little canisters to use our portable gas grill while we’re traveling with our trailer.

by:

Quality built product. You will pay less for similar products but there most likely will be defects/leaks. This connection is solid, no leaks detected, works perfectly to safely connect 20 pound LP tanks to your portable propane grills so you no longer have to use the inefficient and low volume 1 pound tank. You will save money as 1 pound propane tanks have gotten very expensive.

Make grilling easier and don't worry about running out of propane, get this product !!

by:

I was unable to find the correct gas line for my coleman grill, called up e-trailers and spoke with Bryan. He was able to set me up with the correct line, longer hose, and a better price than I could find where I live. Works great! Would definitely use this company again.

by:

I have purchased a variety of items from etrailer over the past 4-5 years. There is a reason I go to them. Good quality on my purchases, and most excellent service. They have treated me very well. Even when I ordered the wrong adapter cable, and a few months later when I found it was wrong, they exchanged at no charge and even paid the return shipping. Great source that will get continued business from me.

by:

I contacted etrailer in order to inquire about a propane hose to go from a five gallon tank to a small appliance like a Coleman camp stove. I let them know what I was looking to do and they responded within the next day. Ricky S was the one who found the product and it worked great!! Couldn’t be happier.

by:

I thought this was a quick disconnect on each end but even the picture looks like one end is designed to go on a tank. I’ll keep it so I can use it with a tank. But I need to now look closer and order the hose with same style quick disconnect on each end.

by:

this a replacement for my old one. The green end should be a higher flow than my old black one and the brass end connector seems to have a better grip and was easy to screw it into my BBQ.

by:

etrailer is the only business I contacted that would take the time to help me find the part I needed. There response to my e-mails were lighting fast.

by:

Just received the product today and was pleased to see that it is made in the USA.
It is visually Superior to the last two Chinese made hoses that only lasted about one season each. Connected to my Weber Q2200 grill and was impressed by the quality of the brass male threads on the canister end and ease of connection.

by:

Just the hose I needed to hook up my Blackstone griddle to larger propane tanks.

by:

Looks like it will work as I expected.

by:

Great product. Arrived on time

by:

Found everything I needed and at great prices and quick delivery.

Great. No longer have to have many small propane bottles because hose works great with my 1 lb tank.

by:

Works great, no problems.

Still going strong no issues.

by:

All is very good, product is perfect, just what I needed. Price was very good and as far as I can tell it is of good quality. I will keep your company in mind for future needs.

Thanks for your follow up.

  • How to Connect 20 lb Propane Tank to Stok Gridiron Grill with Quick Disconnect
I've always thought that this type of conversion would be useful. Right now there are no commercially available products designed to do what you are looking for, but I have a way we can make this work. To start, the product designed to connect a portable grill to a 20 lb or 30 lb propane tank is a simple adapter hose like part # 100555-72-MBS, but as you mentioned, this would require you to reach under the grill to attach the fitting. If you want to convert the fitting to a quick disconnect,...

  • Adapter Hose Needed For A Winchester Model-Trailblazer PS-5000 Camp Stove
The fitting you have on your stove looks like it's a proprietary type fitting and I wouldn't be able to confirm exactly what it is, but it looks like it's threaded onto the supply line and could be removed and replaced with another fitting type that matches the thread pitch. The regulator has a female 1" - 20 fitting so you could also just use an adapter hose like the MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Hose # 100555-72-MBS to connect to a larger propane tank.

  • Hose Needed To Connect An Ozark Trail 2-Burner Camp Stove To Larger Propane Tank
The Ozark Trailer 2 Burner Camp Stove has a 1" - 20 fitting with a regulator built into it so you can use a hose like the MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Hose - 6' # 100555-72-MBS or 12' # 100555-144-MBS to connect your stove to a propane tank. If you have a tank that has a different connection than a type-1 fitting then just send me a picture and I can look a compatible hose.

  • Recommended Propane Adapter Hose For Napolean Portable Grill
The Napolean TQ285 has a regulator built-in so you just need a male fitting to attach to the grill. The hose I recommend is the MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Hose, part # 100555-72-MBS. This hose is 72-inches long and is designed for small appliances like your grill and a refillable propane cylinder.

  • Adapter to Connect Ozark Trail Camping Stove to 20 Lb Propane Cylinder
Since your Ozark Trail two burner propane camping stove came with a Stansport regulator designed to take a disposable 1 lb cylinder, all you need is the MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Hose # 100555-72-MBS (6 foot long) . This will connect to the female 1 inch 20 disposable cylinder port on the end of your regulator, and to your 20 lb propane cylinder on the other end, with the Type 1 ACME nut at the other end. If you need a longer one, we also have a 12 foot long adapter hose with part # 100555-144...

  • Available Propane Adapter Hoses
If your house propane tank is a standard 20-lb tank you will not need two regulators. This is already a low-pressure system so one regulator will suffice. Using two will not be an issue when the tank is full and in warmer weather, but as the tank empties and as temperatures drop so too will the pressure available from the tank. To illustrate, a 20-lb tank with 4.7 gallons of LP gas inside will put out 20-lbs of pressure when the temperature is 10-degrees Fahrenheit but this same tank will...

  • Propane Hose Needed to Connect Mini Gas Stove with Propane Supply
Without having a picture or a specific gas stove to look up I cannot really confirm whether or not the MB Sturgis Propane Hose # 100473-20-MBS is compatible with the hose on your mini gas stove, but I can give you some information so that you can determine that yourself. The hose that you referenced has a Type 1 connection on one end that typically connects to a 20 or 30 lb propane tank. The other end has a 1/4" MPT connection that usually connects to a regulator, like part # 108072, but...

I reached out to a representative of MB Sturgis, one of our propane vendors, to clarify if an oily build-up will occur if you run high pressure propane over too long of a distance.
