The package arrived quickly but was a little rough looking. Considering the contents that shipped, it wasn't surprising though. All pieces were securely wrapped on the trailer hitch and we are very satisfied with our purchase!

2021 Ford F-150

Product was shipped very quickly and is a stout hitch. The installation was fairly easy once you have a good understanding of what to do the photos in the instructions were no help they are dark and don't show much detail. The drawing was easier to follow all the nessary parts and tool are included. Don't be hesitant. Just take your time and it will come together easily.

  • Distance to Furthest Part of Hitch Post Pro and Sport Rider SE Bike Racks for 2015 Ford F-150
The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HR1400Z is approximately 46" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the furthest part of the bike rack; the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR is approximately 38-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the arms. Just keep in mind that the Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR is a hanging rack as opposed to the tray-style (or platform) rack you mentioned you were interested in; when using any hanging rack you'll need bike frame adapter bar...

  • Is Curt Trailer Hitch Visible on a 2020 Ford F-150
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C86HR has a hidden crosstube design which gives you a very clean look that is complimented by the matte black finish that matches black finish that you'll find on your 2020 Ford F-150. In all honesty, when looking for a low profile trailer hitch that looks like it's designed for the vehicle you can't go wrong with this trailer hitch. I am attaching an installation video, written instructions, and some photos so you can get an idea of how to install the...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2018 Ford F-150
We have some great trailer hitch options for a 2018 Ford F-150 but in order to choose the correct one you'll need to know if there is a factory hitch already present. This is not the same as the hole in the bumper used to attach a hitch ball. If you don't have a factory frame mounted hitch which sounds like the case then I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C86HR which offers a simple bolt-on install. It does indeed provide a lower connection point that the factory bumper....

  • Weight Distribution System for Class III Hitch on 2018 Ford F-150
If you use a weight distribution system (WD) with Curt Class III hitch # C86HR the hitch's maximum gross trailer weight rating increases from 6K to 10K, and its tongue weight (TW) rating increases from 900-lbs to 1000-lbs. These weight capacities increase with WD since the load on the hitch is better shared between the two axles. This hitch fits the 2015 - 2019 Ford F-150 and the 2017 - 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor without a factory hitch. If you have a different hitch you'll want to check...

  • Why Does 2017 Ford F-150 with EcoBoost have Two Trailer Towing Capacities
The second higher capacity listed on your hitch is the capacity the truck would have if you used a weight distribution system installed on the trailer. A WD system uses spring bar tension between the truck and trailer to redistribute some of the tongue weight up to the front axle of the tow vehicle. This allows the weight of the trailer to basically be better distributed which allows it to have a higher towing capacity. I attached a help article for more info on this, but basically if you...

  • Is the Curt C86HR Hitch Hidden Behind the Bumper on a 2022 Ford F-150
I have attached a picture of the Curt Hitch Receiver item # C86HR you referenced installed on a Ford F-150. As you can see it is mostly obscured by the bumper. The only part of the hitch that is visible is the 2" receiver portion. If you need a ball mount and ball I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball, a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop, and is rated for up to 7,500 lbs. It also includes a hitch...

Yes, only the receiver tube opening of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C26HR will be visible while installed on your 2017 Ford F-150. I have attached a photo of what the finished product will look like on a similar F-150 for you in addition to an install video. • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2017 Ford F-150
For your 2017 Ford F-150 without a factory trailer hitch the most popular hitch option is the Curt hitch part # C86HR. We had the chance to install this hitch on a 2017 Ford F-150 (see attached install video link below), and found that it fit and worked really well. If you have the round 7-way trailer wiring connector already on your truck then all you need to use is the part # HM40975 to have trailer wiring. If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount...

In order to add a 7-way trailer connector to your 2017 Ford F-150 with an existing 4-way trailer connector you will want to use part # ETBC7. This kit will plug into your existing 4-way trailer connector and provide you with the additional wires you will need for trailer brakes. However, these wires are hard to access and additional wire will...

  • What Hitch and Bike Rack do You Recommend for My 2022 Ford F-150?
For a hitch on your 2022 Ford F-150, I recommend the Curt Hitch - 2" # C86HR. Not only does this hitch provide you with 900 pounds of maximum tongue weight and 6,000 pounds of maximum towing weight, it also comes with a gloss outer coat over the powder base coat that provides ultimate rust and corrosion resistance. It is also assembled here in the U.S.A. As far as the bike rack, I recommend the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider # HR200Z. Apart from the 45-pound per-bike weight capacity, the...

However, if you still need a heavier duty hitch, and have a factory hitch currently, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C26HR is confirmed to fit your Raptor and will work great. • Is Frame Mounted Hitch Solution Better than Bumper Hitch of 2016 Ford F-150
If you are considering a frame mounted hitch over your bumper ball mount/hitch I would recommend you go ahead and go the frame hitch route. This will give you quite a bit more towing capacity and the ability to use a different rise/drop ball mount so that you can tow your trailer as level as possible. The Curt hitch part # C86HR would be a really great choice for this. It's mostly hidden too which gives it a less visible look. Check out the install video and picture I attached as well.

The best option is a trailer hitch receiver and hitch-mounted bike rack. • GCWR of 2016 Ford F-150 Super Cab With 5.0L Engine and 3.55 Axle Ratio
I looked in the online version of the owner's manual for a 2016 Ford F-150 and according to that your GCWR will be one of four, depending on if you have a 2-wheel drive, 4-wheel drive, and your wheelbase. For a 2WD with a 145 inch wheelbase your GCWR will be 15,200 lbs, or 15,300 lbs for a 163 inch wheelbase.
