Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2018 Ford F-150
Question:
Hello, Im looking for a frame-mounted hitch for 2018 Ford F-150. I noticed that some come with factory and hitch and some come without factory hitch. What does that mean? Also, do any of the frame-mounted hitches you sell change the height of the receiver tube compared to the OEM bumper mounted hitch? If so, by how much? Thank you.

We have some great trailer hitch options for a 2018 Ford F-150 but in order to choose the correct one you'll need to know if there is a factory hitch already present. This is not the same as the hole in the bumper used to attach a hitch ball. If you don't have a factory frame mounted hitch which sounds like the case then I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C86HR which offers a simple bolt-on install. It does indeed provide a lower connection point that the factory bumper. It'll be around 19.5" from the ground to the top inside edge of the tube.
