Options to Carry Bikes With 2016 Ford F-150
Question:
we have a 2016 Ford F-150 truck, but my husband has installed side toll boxes so it reduces the width at the tailgate to about 43 inch between the inside of the side tool boxes. He also has a Tailgate backup camera so we want one that will allow the use of both tailgate handle and the camera. which one do you recommend? Most of the time we only carry 2 bikes, occasionally we may carry 3-4.

We have a couple of solutions for you to carry bikes with your 2016 Ford F-150, though a tailgate pad isn't going to work for your 43 inch space because the narrowest pad is 53 inches wide, the Thule GateMate Pro Tailgate Pad # TH823PRO.
The best option is a trailer hitch receiver and hitch-mounted bike rack. If you do not have a hitch on your 2016 Ford F-150 you can install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C86HR and add a 4-bike rack, with a great option being the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR because it gives you the best value in terms of a combination of quality and price.
I have added links to video reviews and installs for you of these parts which I recommend taking a look at.
