Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today, we're taking a look at the Taylor Made Solar LED warning light. Now, this is going to be a heavy-duty, weather-resistant light to provide a warning for any boaters out there so they can keep away from any kind of hazards out on the water, so we can attach this to a buoy, a dock, moorings, or just about any other place that would need that nighttime identification. The housing is made out of a tough waterproof plastic, so it's going to say working in all conditions.It comes with rechargeable lithium batteries, so we don't have to worry about getting batteries to work with this, and those can be charged by the solar panel up at the top, so that's pretty cool. Not only does it come with the batteries already, but it also should last for a long time with that built-in solar panel, so in the day it's going to charge those batteries up so at night they're ready to go and that solar panel also works as our light sensor as well.The little door here on the bottom, that's where we would change out our batteries if and when those do fail on us. The thing I like about this is that there is a little rubber piece that goes and matches exactly underneath this to provide a good watertight seal for the batteries so we don't have to worry about those getting any water, corrosion, or damage, and causing any issues there.

This is also where we can turn our light off and on, our on and off switch is covered by this little rubber boot, so again, no worries about water ingress, and then we'll also have our button to adjust the different flash patterns, so one will be 15 flashes per minute, and then 30 flashes per minute, and then 60 flashes per minute.I'm going to go ahead and leave this on and we'll see if we can get the light to turn on without having to turn the lights out in the studio. Let me go ahead and turn the lights out so you can actually see what it looks like in low-light conditions. I think this is going to be a pretty nice light for just about any use. There, our light turns on, so this is going to be the slower flash pattern of 15 flashes per minute, press that button, it'll go up to 30, and then 60, so a little bit faster there, but pretty instant response with the lights going on and off, so should be a great light for just about any kind of use. There, our light goes off again.Now, let's go over some measurements, so as far as the diameter of our base, it's about four-and-three-quarters inches in diameter, and then the overall height is about four-and-a-half inches.

The upper diameter, so just this portion here is about three-and-five-eights. The distance between our mounting holes is about four-and-a-quarter center to center. It does not come with any mounting hardware, so you will have to provide some on your own, but I think this is going to be a great addition to just about any kind of marine application where you need a heavy-duty solar-powered light.
