Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff from etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this Taylor-made 49 inch tall sur-mark portside regulatory marker buoy. Now this regulatory buoy will float on the water surface to mark the port side of the channel. Basically, you just set the buoy on the left side of the waterway for boats traveling upstream. The very bottom here, you might be able to see, you can secure your anchor chain to the galvanized eye right at the bottom of the buoy here. Now the anchor chain is sold separately.
It is not included. And the green tan design of this buoy will indicate it's for the left side of the port side of the channel. They do use an internal concrete ballast and this 18 inch collar ring here, that'll keep the buoy upright and easy to spot. It has a durable single-piece construction. The closed cell foam won't absorb water, and in the polyethylene molded outer shell is UV resistant.
This part is made in the USA.Few specs on this. The total height from the bottom to very top is 49 inches. The diameter right here is 10 inches. The collar ring diameter is 18 inches. And when this is put into the water, the visibility above the waterline is about 39 inches.
And the buoyancy of this is about 40 pounds. But just turn to so you can see the bottom we attach your chain to. But that should do it for the review on this Taylor-made 49 inch tall sur-mark portside regulatory marker buoy.
