It’s beefy and solid. The mounting bracket square holes had to be cut in a smidge and he added two more support bars.. but all in all. My welder said it would tow 11-12 k. Not the 16k I was told. But hey. I’m okay with that. There was a shipping issue which forced me to reschedule a few things, that is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise I am supper happy with how it turned out.

The hitch looks good! The hitch itself is rated to tow up to 15,000 pounds however it is limited to the frame and or bumper capacity that the hitch is welded. So if the RV is only rated to tow 11,000 pounds then that is what you would want to go by.

by:

Very happy with this hitch. The size of the end plates matched the frame on our old truck and with the class V weight rating, our old truck can do a few other things around the farm now. Thank you.

Great product. Fast delivery

by:

I called to ask what was the inside dimension of the big square and it was said to be 4 1/2" square, that wasn't even close, it was 3 5/8" square.
But I was lucky I needed 3 1/4 square. I'm modifying this to fit my fisher plow bracket so I have a front hitch to use around the yard. Nobody makes one. I own a machine shop so by getting this saves me a lot of work. So by receiving the wrong info I rating you less than EXCELLENT

by:

What a great hitch for a great price. I attached this to the rear of my Freightliner FLD-120. What a beast! The perfect hitch! Thanks

by:

Heavy duty hitch. Easily installed. However I am a welder fabricater with 30 years experience.

by:

Easy installation and after one year of heavy use, still going strong!

by:

This is a very heavy duty hitch. Haven't gotten it mounted yet, but looks to be of good quality.

It is very well built and the powder coating is very tough, took a good grinding to get it off for the welds. Good price as well. I used it for my 2006 Bounder 35E, not because it was a high rate hitch, as I did not need one, but this was the only one that would lower the hitch to a more normal height from the ground. The old hitch was so high a 10" deep was not enough to use a trailer parallel to the ground. Now I can hook up a lot easier and not worry about scraping. Looks good too.

by:

Great quality product from Curt . Can be easy installation depending on the application.. mine more difficult because of aluminum alloy frame, so will have to do some reinforcing.

by:

I put this on my 03 Freightliner Columbia. It does everything I want it to. It is bolted and welded.
I like it so much that a bought another one and put it on my old school bus. That one is just bolted on.

by:

attached this hitch to my 1984 American General 5 ton military truck. Had to do some modification to air lines and drill a few holes but it is perfect for pulling civilian trailers with the M 813.

by:

Added (welded) to our diesel pusher Motorhome and have no issues and really no worries while towing whatever we feel we need while camping.

by:

Perfect fit on my 2009 blue bird

Fast shipping

I think you guys should send me some ap parel!

by:

Well, I really respect the fact that they waited for one year before asking for a review, they offer a 2 inch and a 2 1/2 inch receiver the 2 1/2 inch receiver would obviously be a larger rectangle to accommodate a half an inch, the vertical uprights I received had holes pre-cut to accommodate a 2 1/2 inch receiver I ordered a 2 inch receiver, needless to say, there was an abundance of slop, half inch gaps, requiring a lot of fabrication on either side of the vertical uprights, knowing this now, going with the 2 1/2 receiver should have saved a ton of unnecessary fabrication time.

by:

Exactly what we wanted. Worked perfect on our recent, extended trip to Alaska and back.

Solid as stone!!

  • Trailer Hitch Options for 1973 Penn Versatile Step Van
We have a couple of options that will provide you with a trailer hitch for your 1973 Penn Versatile Van, but they will need to be welded or bolted to the frame as there are not any custom fit hitches for your vehicle. This hitch is also available with 16 inch brackets, part # 41990-16. The Ultra Frame hitch is designed for service-body and...

Hi Jacob, The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 14053 lists that it's a fit for cutaway chassis if the bolt holes are 38-5/8 inches from frame to frame. This would mean that the holes in your frame have to be spaced 38-5/8" from center to center in order for the hitch to work. With your vehicle be a school bus and the dimensions that you stated you'll likely have to go with a weld-on adjustable fit trailer hitch receiver. • Is there a Class IV or V Hitch Available for a 1989 International S1600
We have 2 hitches that might work depending on the specific measurements of your 1989 International. Curt hitches 15901 and 15902 are both weld-on hitches that will fit frames from 18 inches wide to 44 inches wide. The 15901 has a 5 inch drop. The 15902 has a 13-1/2 inch drop. I am not certain if the hitch itself, being 44 inches wide, will interfere with anything else under the vehicle (seeing as it is 10 inches wider than your frame rails). So you will need to check and see if clearance...

The only possible option for your 2015 Freightliner 3500 with a 30-3/8 inch frame is a weld-on universal hitch, the Curt Curt Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch and Brackets with 10.865" Drop # 15902. This has a crosstube that measures 44 inches so you need to make sure you have the space under the frame for it to fit without interference.
