Recommendation for a Weld-On Trailer Hitch for a Freightliner Step Van
Question:
I have a freightliner step van that I need to put a hitch on. the outside of the frame rails are spaced 34 1/2inch and I would require a 10-11inch from the top of the frame rail to the top of the receiver opening. Is there a way to achieve this , as there is only the 7inch and 16inch brackets? Thank you.

Your best option is either going to be going with a Curt hitch, # 15902, or going with one of the hitches with 16 inch brackets like # 41990-16. This hitch is closest to what you need. You will need to have a qualified professional welder perform the installation. I have included a link to the installation details for the Curt hitch for you.
