T-One Connection Location Points Behind Tail Lights

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

I was worried if my boat trailer lights would work properly using this. But it was super easy to hook up and my lights all work perfectly. 100% yes from this Wisconsin boy.

2006 Chevrolet Impala

The T-One wiring harness for my 2006 impala was just as described. I am not that mechanically inclined when it comes to wiring, but I was able to install this product in less than 30 minutes. And that was taking extra time to make sure the wires did not come in contact with the frame to rub the wires. My product arrived in just a few days. Just in time to pick up my new trailer!
Thanks for a GREAT product.

Product still satisfactory. No problems at all. I have told other people about the product and where I got it and how easy it was to install.

by:

Absolutely love the hitch super easy install just pull down the exhaust and bolt it in took no more than 30 minutes to fully complete. Lights were super easy just a clip on all had to do was remove the passenger tail light 10/10 would definitely recommend.

This Draw Tite hitch was super easy to put on and am very leased with wiring harness. Everything went together smoothly and I am very happy with the end result!!!

Fantastic!! I tow a trailer with a motorcycle to Florida and back to Illinois every year and wiring is still perfect!!! Definently 5*

by:

Arrived on time, easy to install, has lasted a year now in the harsh wisconsin weather and shows no sign of breaking. A+ product.

Works great, the connectors have withstood my complete lack of care by leaving them uncovered through rain and snow and salt in Wisconsin. May have to clean them a bit with some circuit cleaner next year but still reliable and functional.

by:
Chevrolet Impala

Only used this a couple times as I installed the hitch primarily to hold my bicycle rack but has worked fine the few brief times I used the Impala to haul/move the trailer. Easy installation. A+++

2008 Chevrolet Impala

2008 Impala wiring harness, unsnarled the wiring of my trailer to the car. I had poked hole with my test light and could not get it total working correctly, sought a solution and googling found this etrailer had the wirng harness at a good price for the non-soldering hook up of the car lighting, brakes, turn signals all to the 4 wire connector. same as the trailer had. No problems, removed the tail light as the videos showed and unplugged to plug this harness in and ...done...simple and easy. My sincerest thanks !

by:
2013 Chevrolet Impala

I bought this along with the Draw-Tite hitch. very simple and very good quality. Did the job in 15 minutes. It took me longer to remove and replace all of the carpeting in the trunk behind the light than it did to install the wiring. it fit perfectly and worked excellent. No splicing, no loose wires, no trouble with my lights in over 1000 miles of traveling last summer (2015)

2011 Chevrolet Impala

Ordered a hitch and wiring harness form etrailer on a Tuesday evening and received it on Friday of the same week. Since my order was over a certain amount, I received free shipping. I was informed when my order shipped that etrailer had upgraded my shipping again, at no cost. This in my opinion is what customer service is all about. My order was correct and the hitch is first quality and installed easily. I would highly recommend using etrailer and certainly will in the future.

by:
2009 Chevrolet Impala

Both the hitch and the t-connector work beautifully and were super easy to install. I use a light duty trailer to haul building construction materials a few times a month and the hitch works great.

by:
2013 Chevrolet Impala

Very easy to install only took about 15-20 mins tops

by:

I was amazed at how fast the order was shipped out and I received it. Great customer service.

by:

Customer service answered my questions promptly and professionally. The hitch order arrived promptly and I Installed it yesterday. The installation videos for the hitch and electrical wiring were very helpful. They were straight forward and seeing the install gave me the confidence to do it myself. Only possible suggestion is on the videos state the socket size of nuts, Trailer ball, and the ground nut/screw. Overall very good service & follow up!

2010 Chevrolet Impala

I received the trailer hitch and t connector this morning. It took me all of 10 minutes to connect the wiring and maybe an hour to install the hitch on my 2008 check impala. This is the second hitch and electrical connections I have purchased from Etrailer. I priced someone else to install and it was over 400.00 with all parts. Excellent deal and fast shipping.

by:
2007 Chevrolet Impala

I received my wiring kit in a few days, and it installed in 5-10 minutes. Was very easy.

After a Yr. no issues. Works the same today as it did the day I bought it. A great buy.

2010 Chevrolet Impala

I am pleased with the quality of this product. After having it installed on my 2010 Chevy Impala for a year, I have used it plenty of times to tow a 6x4 trailer, and a boat trailer. I especially like that there is a protective cap for the connector. Hopefully it lasts the lifetime of the car.

by:
2010 Chevrolet Impala

Worked great pulling a [rental trailer] on a 1000 mile move. Easy installation following the video. Used the taillight mounting bolt instead of the included self tapping screw for the ground connection.

by:
2010 Chevrolet Impala

I would recommend just watching the eTrailer.com website videos a couple of time through for the installation instructions for this item if they are available for your vehicle. It was so very easy to install. I might have spent no more than 15 minutes to do it and that would include encasing the wires in some protective harness tubing too! It couldn't be any easier unless you had someone install it for you.

by:
2007 Chevrolet Impala

Simple. Watch the video. Take off the tail light (as shown) Un-plug. Plug. Put the tail light back on. Zip tie the wire. Done. Buy the fitted harness = EASY.

by:

excellent products, hitch installed in about a half hour and fit perfect. Installed your wiring kit and drawbar and towed my trailer that day.

by:
2008 Chevrolet Impala

recieved wiring harness in 4 days that included a weekend. watched viedo on installation & was able to install on my vechiel in about 30 min from start to finish working as it should. very pleased with etrailer. If I ever need a trailer product I will contact them before I buy.

by:

The product arrived on time, installed easily with no trimming or soldering of wires. I am very satisfied with product and recommend it as the only way install a wiring harness.

by:

The wiring harness arrived on schedule. I was very pleased with how easy it was to install. GREAT PRODUCT. I would recommend etrailer.com to friends and family.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver And Components For 2011 Chevy Impala
There is not a 2 inch receiver available for a 2011 Impala. Only the 1-1/4 inch options like the Draw-Tite # 36407 and the Curt # C12252. Both of these hitches have a rated tongue weight of 300 lbs and towing capacity of 3500 lbs, so even with the smaller receiver, they can still handle some weight and are usable for light-duty towing. If you will be using this hitch receiver for towing, I recommend the Class II Drawbar 3-1/8" Rise (Kit) # 36061 along with the 2 inch hitch ball like...

  • Uhaul Trailer Wiring Harness Causes Brake Light and Blinker to Not Work on 2009 Chevy Impala
The wiring harness used on your 2009 Chevy Impala must not be grounded properly or it is possible that there are bent or broken pins in the harness they used. The ground needs to be attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surface. There can't be any paint or coating either. Check the connectors for the harness to see if there are any bent or broken pins. A bent pin might be able to be bent back but if a pin is broken the harness will need to be replaced. I recommend # 118417. I...

You are correct that the 1-1/4-inch Class II hitches made for your 2011 Chevrolet Impala have a tongue weight rating of 300-lbs. This means that you cannot transport a 445-lb powered wheelchair on any hitch-mount carrier, but you can use a small trailer. The hitch I recommend is Draw-Tite # 36407 that you referenced. It offers a no-drill installation and costs less than the same-capacity Curt model. An installation video is linked for you along with the written instructions. For a compatible...

  • Parts Needed to Install a P2 Trailer Brake Controller on a 2013 Chevy Impala
The 2013 Chevy Impala and most other cars do not have tow package wiring so there is no wire bundle or plug in port under the dash to plug in a brake controller. It will be a hardwire installation. The best place to run the wires from the controller to the battery would be at or near an existing harness that goes through the firewall. Ideally, you would run the wire without making any additional holes. But sometimes, there is no space at all to shove a wire through at an existing exit/entry...

As far as not scraping the ground I'm not sure what you're referring to but if the trailer is not overloaded and is loaded with the tongue weight between 10 and 15 percent of the trailer's weight then you shouldn't have any issues.
