What Trailer Hitch And Wiring Harness Is Recommended For A 2005 Chevrolet Impala
Question:
what products do you recommend for a 2005 Chevrolet Impala tow hitch and wiring harness?? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
I would recommend the Draw-Tite Class II 1-1/4 Inch Hitch # 36407. It is a Class II hitch with a 3,500 lbs. towing capacity and a 300 lb. tongue weight capacity. I am sending a link to the installation instructions on the hitch.
If you will be towing with the hitch, you will need ball mount part # 36061. You will also need a hitch ball like the Tow Ready 2 Inch Hitch Ball # 19258.
For wiring, you will use the Curt Wiring Harness # C56116. This harness will plug into the vehicles taillights behind the interior trim panel in the cargo area. This harness will give you a 4-flat trailer connector at the rear of your vehicle. I am sending a link to the instructions on the wiring harness.
Also, I am sending a video link of the hitch being installed on a 2002 Chevrolet Impala.
