The trailer hitches we offer for your 2008 Impala are guaranteed to fit. These hitches are designed specifically to fit your car frame.
The trailer hitch you came from is the Curt, part # C12252. This is a Class ll hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.
The other trailer hitch is the Draw-Tite, part # 36407. This is also a Class ll hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver.
I recommend the Draw-Tite hitch because it does not require a stabilizing strap like part # 18050 for all non-trailer loads like Curt requires.
If you are planning on towing you will need a ball mount for the trailer hitch. I have attached a link to the ball mounts that will work with your 1-1/4 inch receiver. I also attached a link to a helpful article that explains how to choose a ball mount you can check out.
I also attached a link to the hitch balls we offer. You will want to choose a hitch ball that works with the ball mount you choose and has a hitch ball that matches the trailer coupler you are towing.
If you need a trailer wiring harness I recommend part # 118417. I have attached a link to an installation video for this harness on an Impala you can take a look at.
I also attached a link to our product page for the bike racks we offer that will work with a Class ll trailer hitch. If you have any questions about a specific item let me know and I will be glad to make some recommendations that will work for you.
