Installation

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your trunk or cargo space, behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. You will need to remove some interior trim or carpeting to access this harness.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your cargo area.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

It took me maybe 10 minutes to wire up the trailer, only that long because I had to rewire a tail light on the trailer itself
This product is pretty self-explanatory

The trailer hitch went on very easily I had no problems the instruction were very good. The same with the wiring harness no problems. I put your hitch on my 1994 Mustang a few years ago and had no problems that’s why I bought another one for my Chevy HHR SS from you guys.

2010 Chevrolet HHR

Good product with easy installation. I'm an electrician, but do not like making wiring alterations to factory wiring on my vehicles. The wiring harness with plug adapters allowed installation with out making splices. There was some confusion in the written installation instructions on which side of the vehicle the green wire plug goes to. After refering to the installation video on the e-trailer web site this issue was perfectly clear.

Fantastic product !!! I've had many , many trailers in my life...Boat , toy haulers , and construction trailers . I had the wiring done 15 minutes after the Mailman left it NO KIDDING ! easy , easy , easy ! instructions and video were spot on. i would never hesitate to order again . only downside was it took 9 days to get this item to North Carolina ! So i had plenty of time to study the video !!!

The hitch package arrived lightning fast. I had it installed within an hour. I had watched the installation video before the hitch arrived so that I kwew what tools I would need. It was sooooo easy. I followed the video instruction step by step and with the help of a friend to fit it into place the job was done in a snap. A floor jack was all that was necessary to drop the exhaust down for the installation. The wiring is a no-brainer. I am very pleased with the price and the support. I would buy from this company again and I recommend it to anyone looking for this type of accessory. My car and the bike rack look great and I saved a ton of money. Good job Etrailer.

2008 Chevrolet HHR

Great product. Easy hook-up, anyone would be able to install it, with just unplug original connections and connect new wiring harness. Then connect the wires you unplugged into the other connectors left on your wiring harness and your done. No splicing wires or making a mistake and getting frustrated. With this wiring harness product from etrailer.com this is the way to go. Thanks.

2010 Chevrolet HHR

Being an old school guy and splicing trailer harness' the old fashioned way- this harness item 118407 was installed in less than 10 minutes. In addition- the trailer hitch was installed on my wires HHR in less than an hour. The hardest part was fishing the bolt and spacer through the chassis. And the install was done on the floor with a floor jack. I would strongly recommend e-trailer equipment to anyone. And Pat from E-trailer was top notch and parts were delivered as promised

Super quick and easy to install with the instructional video seen online. Worked the first time I plugged it in. Are trailer lights even supposed to do that? :)

I purchased draw petite hitch, drawbar ball and wiring harness from etrailer
All seem to be high quality parts, it took me approx. 1 hour for total install on my hhr, happy with result, fast shipping and excellent service

by:

At last, a 10 minute job that really took 10 minutes! I watched the install video and went at it. EVERYTHING was just like in the video. The longest part was slipping the split plastic conduit over the wiring to protect it. Looked nice too (better than the wrapped electrical tape in the video). This was a left over from another project and matched what the factory used.

The dust cap on the end of the trailer plug was a nice touch. Two thumbs up for this product.

by:

Order was $xxish and paid $xx for one day shipping. Ordered Sunday. Monday was told that I wouldn’t get my parts til Thursday. Beyond pissed. Today (Wednesday) I received one of 3 items. God knows when I’ll get the rest. I will NEVER order from here again. I was to have parts installed Wednesday and leave from Pittsburgh to Kansas on Friday morning. PISSED

by:
2011 Chevrolet HHR

wiring was simple to install, I found a rubber grommet in the tire compartment so I cut the wire harness, pushed it through the harness so the wire comes out right next to the hitch, hidden wiring too. spliced the wire and added shrink tubing to make it waterproof.

by:

Exact fit went on easily. Bought some split wire loom for a finished look. Works great

by:

Love these t-connector products!!!! This is the second one I have purchased and it makes tailer wiring easy and worry free along with never worrying about corrosion of the pigtail ends.

When I called for help, the young lady...CATHY T went beyond help, what a fantastic girl. She told me about the harness and then walked me thru the item, installation, payment, and mailing. That young lady is definetly a PLUS+ for ETrailer. Please tell her I appreciated her help, what a girl...
