Can a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt Sport Tow a Small Trailer
Question:
is there a trailer hutch to tow a small trailer fitting my car
asked by: Randy S
Expert Reply:
Yes, for a trailer hitch that is a confirmed fit for your 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt Sport I recommend the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24756 which is a custom fit so minimal modifications are required and it has a 2,000 lb gross trailer weight capacity. Therefore, you could absolutely tow a small trailer with this trailer hitch so long as the vehicle is also rated for it.
In order to complete your towing setup you are also going to need a trailer wiring harness, the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118407 (Coupe) or part # 118398 (Sedan) and a ball mount/hitch ball, the Draw-Tite Drawbar part # 3594 with the 1-7/8" Hitch Ball part # 19256 or the 2" Hitch Ball part # 19258.
I have attached an install video of the trailer hitch and wiring harness for you as well.
