The quick-disconnect port on the other end accepts the male quick-disconnect plug on your appliance. Both hook up without the need for any tools. Simply snap the quick-disconnect fitting into the port and it will stay locked in until you release it. To remove the fitting, just pull back on the collar of the port to disengage the connection.

The adapter hose is exactly what I needed to connect a stand-alone propane bottle to my RV’s propane system. However etrailer was incapable of getting the delivery address, the billing address, and my name correct. I live in a very large RV park so my lot number is part of my address. This isn’t a hard concept…. Like a street number with an apartment number. The first attempt, etrailer did not include this lot number and did not have my name correct. It was returned undeliverable. Additionally, etrailer used a completely incorrect billing address. The customer help people on the phone were great but hamstrung by virtue of an IT system which auto fills or strips data that they have tried to enter (my name, my lot number being two items). The third attempt, the hose showed up though it took a call to the the shipping company while enroute to get my lot number added to the package with a separate label. It still did not have my name on the package.

Will and have already passed the company link to others. Thank you for having what I was searching for and at a great price.

This unit lasted me approximately one year. I would not consider my usage to be heavy or abusive, but after disconnect in from the quick connect, I noticed that the ball bearing and spring came out of the center of the connector. Obviously, the plastic retainer had been lost, but I have not found that. Since the end is made onto the hose. I believe my only option is to replace it all. One year doesn’t seem like long enough duty cycle.

I wanted to let you know that the hose does have a one-year warranty. Do you still have the hose? I can send out the warranty instructions to you.

by:

These work great. I no longer have to leave my spot just to get propane.

by:

These worked perfectly right out of the box. Had them installed in 5 minutes and was able to run my 100 lbs tank to my 20 lbs tank without any leaks or problems. Very happy to have finally found a system to be able to have a larger volume of propane for my appliances and not have to run around making exchanges all the time.

by:

Great and fast shipping

by:

I like the ease of install and the ability to have external hook-up. One question I ask is why doesn’t the product have or utilize the external connector (hand operated) on the tank side. It would make the product more user friendly no wrenching involved and faster connection.

by:

I installed two 100# Propane bottles to my 5th wheel. We are parked for extended period and the Sturgis Products that all me to tie these two bottles to my existing 2 - 40# bottles and utilize the RV's propane regulator. Even the propane provider wanted to know I did it, so that they can do it for other customers.

by:

I have ordered from etrailer.com 3 times and have been extremely pleased each and every time. The orders are filled and delivered in a very timely manner. I have been more than satisfied with the products that i have received.

by:

This quick disconnect hose was exactly what I've been looking for. The extended length gives me more flexibility with my propane tanks during extended stays. My old 5 ft hose had developed several cracks.

by:

Fast shipping. Unfortunately I ordered wrong gas line but contacted Customer Service and they were very understanding and sent me a return label for me to mail back package and get a refund. Thank you.

by:

As advertised. Process is no hassle Straight forward. Delivery was as scheduled. Will continue business with Etrailer.

by:

  • Adapter Recommendation for Connecting 100 lb Propane Tank to to RV Dual Tank Setup
To add a 100 lb tank to your two tanks, I recommend the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting w Hose - Type 1 Valve - Quick Disconnect, Disposable Cylinder Ports # 103615. This will allow you to connect the red fitting to one of your tanks and the pigtail from that tank to the brass side of the T-fitting. Then you will use the POL side of the 6 foot hose to connect to your 100 lb tank and the quick connect end to the T-fitting. Make sure your quick connect fitting is open and you'll be all set...

  • Parts Needed to Connect Auxiliary 20 lb Propane Tank to Dual Onboard Camper Tanks
I appreciate all the information! The part I recommend using is the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting w Hose - Type 1 Valve - Quick Disconnect, Disposable Cylinder Ports # 103615. The Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting will connect in-line between one of your onboard tanks and the regulator, via its pigtail hose, as shown in the attached diagram. The red (Type 1) fitting on #103615 connects to the tank valve and the pigtail from that tank connects to the brass side of the T-fitting. The included...

  • Can I Feed RV Appliances Propane Through Quick Disconnect T-Fitting From Auxiliary Tank
If you have a T-fitting with quick disconnect port like on the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting for Type 1 Valve Quick Disconnect and Disposable Cylinder Ports part # 103613-MBS you can back feed the propane from your auxiliary cylinder into your R.V appliances from the quick disconnect port because it doesn't have a back check. The other ports have a back check like the Type 1 port. I recommend to use the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting part # 103613-MBS with the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay...

  • Can MB Sturgis Dual Type 1 Tank Valve Extension Hose be Used for Portable Tank for Camper
You can definitely use the Extension # 100914-180-MBS to do exactly what you're talking about. Another option you may be interested in is the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting w Hose # 103615 instead. This comes with a tee and a 6' extension hose with a quick disconnect fitting. What this means is that you install the tee in-line with your current propane setup. When you need to use gas from your portable 20 lb bottle simply use the included extension hose with the quick disconnect fitting,...

  • Availability of Adapter to Go from RV to Gas Grill
I believe you are looking for the Camco Propane Adapter # CAM59213 which is a Female P.O.L./Male ACME x 1"-20 Male Throwaway Cylinder designed for connecting a small appliance that runs off a small tank to an RV propane source. • How to Connect a 100 lb. Propane Tank to a 5th Wheel RV
The MB Sturgis Dual Type 1 Tank Valve Extension Hose, # 100914-180-MBS will not do what you are wanting. This does not have the needed fittings for making proper connections. However, what you are wanting to do, connecting a 100 lb. propane tank to your RV's system, is a common enough thing that MB Sturgis developed something specifically for your want. The MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting, # 103615. This will allow you to connect the red fitting to one of your tanks and the pigtail from...

Yes, the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay, # 103538-MBS lets you use an auxiliary propane cylinder to power appliances so that you won't deplete your RV's tank. No one wants to have to pack up, unplug, and go refill the propane tank, just to come back to the site and set everything up all over again. This Sturgi-Stay T-fitting lets you connect an auxiliary cylinder to your setup using the included fill hose. This installs between the tank and the motorhome's in line regulator. • Adding A T-Fitting To An ASME Motorhome Tank To Use Auxiliary Propane Tanks
Most motorhome ASME tanks utilize a POL fitting for the vapor port line that runs out to your regulator. I can't tell solely tell off of the photo but I'm sure that's probably the case. If so, you could use the # 103537-MBS between the hose and valve. Before removing the hose you would want to shut off the valve and could drain the line by turning on a burner to take any pressure out. You could then thread on the # 103537-MBS and then reconnect the hose to the male POL fitting. You will...

A 100-gallon propane tank is four feet tall by three feet diameter. If overhang of your 5th wheel allows this height then yes.
