Question:

Can I use a simple propane extension hose to connect a 100# propane tank to the existing hose connected to my dual auto changeover regulator? Such as this item. 100914-180-MBS

The MB Sturgis Dual Type 1 Tank Valve Extension Hose, # 100914-180-MBS will not do what you are wanting. This does not have the needed fittings for making proper connections. However, what you are wanting to do, connecting a 100 lb. propane tank to your RV's system, is a common enough thing that MB Sturgis developed something specifically for your want. The MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting, # 103615.

This will allow you to connect the red fitting to one of your tanks and the pigtail from that tank to the brass side of the T-fitting. Then you will use the POL side of the 6 foot hose to connect to your 100 lb tank and the quick connect end to the T-fitting. Make sure your quick connect fitting is open and you'll be all set for using your 100 lb tank. If you desire a longer hose, you can use the 10 foot # 100794-120-MBS. Then if you'd like to connect a grill or other appliance you can use the # 100476-120-MBS.
