To ensure you get the correct size awning for your slide-out, measure from outer edge to outer edge of the trim. You will need 7" of clearance on both sides of the slide-out for the awning. If you dont have 7" clearance on both sides, go down to the next size; this will still give your slide-out plenty of coverage.
If there are two slide-outs next to each other, you will need a total of 14" of clearance between them for them both to have a slide-out awning. Again, you can go down a size if you are low on space.
Without a slide-topper, the roof of your slide-out room is continually exposed and can accumulate leaves and bugs and different types of debris. That debris can build up along the rubber strip at the top of your box, preventing a firm seal when your slide-out is retracted. Rain water can then get in and pool on the top of your slide-out. If you don't clear the water off each time it rains, mold can begin to form. And when your slide-out is pulled in, that mold gets inside your RV.
The Solera RV slide-out awning alleviates those problems by serving as a protective covering over the top of your RV's slide-out. Not only does it prevent debris from collecting on the roof of your slide-out, but it keeps water from pooling and potentially causing damage down the road. Because it mounts directly to the front of the slide box, the slide-out awning is able to automatically extend and retract every time the slide-out room is extended or retracted.
The durable awning fabric holds up to the rigors of the outdoors. It's made of premium 13.5-oz vinyl, which is an upgrade over the 10-oz fabric used in many awnings. This fabric also features heat-welded seams to prevent leaks. And it is made to withstand cold temperatures down to -25 degrees Fahrenheit, so it won't crack or degrade during the winter.
Use the self-tapping screws to secure the included access plate to the side of your slide-out, positioning the plate at the bottom of the T-molding. The two access brackets slide easily onto the access plate's track. The rods that are located at each end of the roller tube, which comes with the awning fabric already mounted, slide through the hole in the two access brackets.
The included awning rail is used to anchor the other side of the fabric to your RV. This rail can be mounted up to 5" above the trim on top of your slide box.

Excellent easy to install
I gave a 1 Star because it came damaged.
Great awnings, I put 3 of them on my travel trailer! This long one (12') is about as big as I would comfortably go though as it looks like its maxing out the support arms and it sags a little bit in the middle. At this length you may also have to put something in the middle (like a ball) to hold up the fabric to keep the rain off if can't mount high enough to get a good slant off your roof.
Has been working flawlessly for over a year now. I would buy this hitch again. I use this attached to the goose ball on my CM flatbed. Makes hitching and unhitching so much easier compared to using a gooseneck adapter. My 5th wheel is 41ft long and weighs around 18500lbs.
I am very happy with the slide toppers I purchased. Installation was easy and they do the job. Delivery from etrailer was ahead of schedule and came undamaged.
Got one done today it went pretty good. The awning is working great.
I did not receive order. The freight company scheduled 2 different delivery appointments for which I took time off work. Both days they never showed or called. On the 2nd day I contacted etrailer to tell them the shipment was not out for delivery but they confirmed it would be delivered that day. I finally contacted the freight company myself and they told me the shipment was lost. Had etrailer contacted them when I requested I could have at least saved a half a day but they did not. I requested a refund and was told I would get it when they received the shipment back. I told them it was lost and I should not have to wait until it is found to get a refund. The freight company changed the tracking to delivered, but at their terminal, so etrailer assumed I was all set and I still have not received my refund.

The product would be great if it had been the correct size noting this was the second shipment for the first was wrought color and damaged
