Carrying heavy cargo in your truck bed or trailer puts tremendous stress on your vehicle. Your brakes erode faster, your tires wear unevenly, and handling suffers severely. When towing, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even improper and unsafe headlight aim. Fortunately, there is a solution to these problems. By pairing your existing suspension with the LoadLifter 5000, you can seriously beef up your suspension, ensure equal load distribution, and give your vehicle the support it desperately needs. Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 provides up to 5,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and distributes the weight of your payload to all four wheels. As a result, the stress on your OEM suspension is significantly reduced.
LoadLifter's air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi for precise support, and they can be inflated independently of one another for front-to-rear and side-to-side leveling. They are made of high-quality, two-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber. Most air bags lose air at the ends, where the bag is enclosed with a steel cap, because the steel can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. The endcaps on Air Lift air bags are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon, a material that is both stronger and lighter than steel, ensuring that the air bags won't lose air. Also, LoadLifter 5000 comes with Air Lift's exclusive roll plates, which both protect your air springs and beef up the load capacity of the springs.
This system installs with the included brackets and hardware. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. To inflate the LoadLifter springs, you just have to pump air in through the inflation valves. A line kit is included with the springs so that you can install the valves (one for each spring) in an easily accessible area - typically they are installed on the bumper. If you want to make the springs even easier to use, you can get a compressor and gauge system (sold separately).
Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

It did take roughly 4-5 hours by myself but that includes prep, ABS and emergency brake relocation, Schrader valve installation and leak check. My only advice would be to give tech tips like a 10mm deepwell socket to remove the jounce bumper on late model Chevrolets/GMC's. I spent 30 minutes trying to figure that one out alone! So far I'm really impressed with the outcome! Thanks!
I purchased the air helper spring to assist with the weight distribution hitch for my travel trailer. I have some sag in the rear suspension on my 1/2 ton PU and was hoping to level out my truck with the air springs. As I aired up the spring the rear of my truck raised up as well as the front. They did not help the rear suspension sag on my truck, only give some assistance to the rear leaf springs, small benefit.
very good product. I have had it for a year and works really well. etrailer folks were super helpful.
The hardware could be better. Seems like a lot of room for error. I’m not sure if damage is going to happen the first time someone puts it on a lift and stretches the bags.
Showed up quickly and the install went smoothly with great directions. Just what my truck needed!
They work great, both bags are on the same fill hose thats routed through my license plate.

The air ride suspension has saved my leaf springs by supporting the constant weight of the tools stored in the bed. Great product and is very easy to install.
Worked perfect. The only complaint I would have is, I never received the little wire to thread the bolt through. A little duct tape on a piece of wire did the same thing. Another issue was on the jounce bumper - the framework of it, I had to grind a little of it away for the air fitting to cleanly swivel. If I did not, the air swivel was "a little snug". It didn't take much either to fix it. Total install time, doing it by myself around 5 hours. By the picture, you can see where I ground it away. Again - did not have to grind that much, but wanted to be sure.
Great product, easy instal, does what advertised for. I haul a boat on weekends. I also have a motorcycle loader in the back of my pickup that i haul my Harley when we go on longer trips. Great product.
This easily installed on my 2015 GMC Sierra about two, maybe three hours including jacking up and removing from the jack stands.
Purchased this product because I purchased a slide-in camper and wanted the additional support/suspension.
Works exactly as described, cannot find any complaints.
The lift works great. The only reason it doesn’t get five stars is because i had to do some modifications to get it to fit the truck due to the gooseneck ball in the bed but other than that it does the job as advertised

Installed this kit a month ago and used it three times pulling my travel trailer. Works as described and has performed as I expected it to. I have a GMC 1500 and no matter if I have my travel trailer with a 600lb tongue weight or 6'x10' single axle trailer with a 160lb tongue weight, with load of course, my truck would squat in the back.
I already added a sway control/weight distribution system and now wanted to get my truck in the right configuration while pulling. For safety and performance.
After reading a lot of reviews I chose this kit.
This kit was easy to install but did take 3 or 4 hours. I wasn't in a rush and wanted to make sure I followed everything in the instructions and not miss anything. I didn't want to rush through it to miss a critical step and then lose brake fluid due to a hole in a brake line. Mainly didn't want to break anything important nor did I want to puncture the air lifts or the poly lines.
Kit went on as expected and fit perfectly. The instructions included pictures and examples to follow that illustrate how everything fits and where everything should be routed. I would definitely buy again.

It’s been a year and 09 Silverado has hauled numerous loads of firewood and my 32ft camper! . Now I’m doing a complete restoration on a 67 Shasta camper with the help of etrailer! I won’t order anywhere else!!
Took about 2.5 hours to install pretty easy with a basic socket set. I think these will really help when i have my truck bed camper installed.

We noticed a big difference in towing stability. I installed them myself. It took longer than expected but I took my time. We're bumper pulling 9,000 lb +-Imagine 2970 with a 2018 chevy silverado z71.
Product was shipped and delivered as promise. The installation was simple, was completed start to finish in about 2.5 hours start to finish. I highly recommend this product to everyone who wants to have a smooth, and safe ride when hauling or towing. Instructions were spot on, took about 4 hours to install (without a lift) including the airbags. Have yet to tow with it but the system seems to work very well.
levels my truck out with my trailer hooked up , what more can you ask for .
