Today, we're going to take a look at the Hopkins six-foot-long, trailer-end, 7-way blade-style connector with the molded cable and the LED Smart lights. Now this is a pre-wired 7-way blade-style trailer-end connector, that allow you to connect your trailer to your vehicle. This one happens to have the built-in LED Smart lights on the connector, provide easy troubleshooting. These lights will illuminate to verify that the connector's receiving power from your tow vehicle, and each light is labeled for each function on the trailer, and it's marked right by the light. The first one is TM, which is tail marker or taillights. The next one in the middle is LT for left turn.
Next one is BU for backup. On the other side, it's AX for auxiliary, RT for right turn, and EB for electric brakes. If you notice on this connector, it has easy to grip tabs, which allow for simple plugin and disconnect. It's a very flexible cable, so it allows for easy positioning when it is connected, and the molded cable sleeving helps protect the wires. It offers durable covering, which is insulated and corrosion resistant. This is a very simple installation.
It just hardwires to your existing trailer wiring. And this does meet the SAE standards.Cable length again is six feet. Now, the wiring configuration for this connector is going to be the auto industry standard as opposed to the RV standard. This one, the auto industry standard, the white wire is going to be a 10-gauge wire for ground, and the black is an auxiliary power wire for 10-gauge size also. And then, they have the blue, which is for electric brakes.
That's a 12-gauge. And then the remaining four are 14-gauge wires. The yellow is left turn and brake. The green is right turn and brake. The brown is taillights.
The purple is reverse lights. But that should do it for the review on the Hopkins six-foot-long, trailer-end, 7-way blade-style connector with the molded cable and the LED Smart lights.

Will take care of my trailer light prob lem.
Wow. Just received the connector. Very well made. Can't wait to install it. Package came in perfect condition.
My new towing vehicle required a longer cable and to make my life easy, I also ordered the junction box 3375601100 . Installing this junction box allowed me to make some corrections based on vehicle side wire colors and trailer wire side colors which differ. I mounted it on the side of the trailer to hold it in place firmly and it works perfectly. This is a great way to have a neat installation that looks like it is completely sealed from weather and insects. Highly recommend this.
