Lionshead Roadside Assistance Program

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.

1-Year No Excuses Guarantee

This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.

Steel Lug Nut Inserts

Lionshead Aluminum Wheels with Steel Lug-Nut Inserts

This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.

Westlake Radials

This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.

Westlake Standard Tread Close-Up

The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

I've had 6 of these tires (new) and three have blown (1), or thrown the tread (2), including the one shown here. I do not recommend Westlake tires. Do some research on your own, don't take my word for it. Speed rating on this tire would appear to be 63 mph. Minimum speed on some interstates in the west is now 65 mph. Note missing tread on front tire in photo and damaged fender resulting from tread separation. I have now gone with a different tire also from etrailer. Too new to tell about them yet.

Thank you for your review. If you are wanting to drive at higher highway speeds I would go with this tire, part # TA95ZR.

Only 4 of 6 tires delivered, the extension for your phone did not work. The wheels and tires did not come with centers after specifically asking and being told yes. These tires were not boxed the rubber was The only thing wrapped in cellophane. Very poor communication and service.

Well that is no good. I am making a point to notify our customer service team about to this to make sure you are taken care of. Thanks for bringing this our attention.

Great tires, ok rims. Tires have been great and work great on my dump trailer. Rims are ok, but on the back of some of them you can see where a grinder has been used on the rims, maybe to remove casting ridge? Wish the speed rating was higher than 62mph. Over all I would recommend these.

bought it for an extra spare and it even came with an exact matching wheel, it still has not been on the road, very nice looking tire and wheel combo

Great Service.
I had been getting the
run around from everyone from the trailer dealer to the local wheel and tire stores. This tire and wheel was exactly a dead ringer replacement for my trailer. You guys are the best and I will tell friends and relations about your company. Thanks again .

I just received these LHAS701 tires and rims in two days after ordering them over the phone. I live outside of Denver CO. the tires and rims seem to be of very high quality. we had a couple tires blow on our 5th wheel damaging both sides of our 5th wheel camper. We wanted tires that would not blow out and could handle the weight of out 5th wheel. We have a Open Range 3X and the stock tires and rims are under weight capacity and not made for long trips. these rims fit our camper hubs perfectly. The rims are 8 on 6 1/2 bolt pattern. the center hubs out of the stock 16 inch rims fit in these 17.5 inch rims perfectly and the lug nuts fit the same also. I could not be any happier with these rims and tires. I would highly recommend these tires and rims. I bought five of them.

I do not give "perfect" or five star ratings since nothing is perfect. As expected, I have been pleased with the tires and wheels so far. I have put over 1,000 miles on the set I ordered and put on my Mallard travel trailer to replace the factory wheels and tires. They are looking good still and seem to let the trailer ride good.
I have ordered trailer wheels and tires for other trailers from etrailer.com in the past and have been satisfied each time.

This is a spare tire and wheel to my new trailer. It's a perfect match!

Quality is outstanding, and the wheels look great on my utility trailer.

Customer service and fast shipping!

I am a happy happy customer!!!

I needed a spare for my Aluma trailer. Found an exact replacement from etrailer for $80 less than the dealer wanted. Great service and fast shipping.

I purchased the west lake tires and lynx aluminum wheel compo for my toyhauler about a year ago. I have put over 10000 miles on them in that time. I am very impressed with the tire how well they are holding up they are showing no wear. The wheel look today as they looked the day I put them on. I noticed from the first trip out that my rid was cruising much smoother with less drag allowing me to increase fuel mileage.

  • Choosing Trailer Tire Load Range and Size for Safety Margin on 5th Wheel Trailer
Changing to higher load range trailer tires means they will tend to run cooler and this is always a good thing. The highest weight rating we offer for your current tire size ST235/85-16 is 4400-lbs, with the G-rated Taskmaster Provider radial # TTWPRG235R16. This tire has a speed rating M, meaning it is good to 81-mph. You can decide how much tire you really need by dividing the Big Horn's GVWR by the number of tires on it. For example, the Bighorn 3370EL has a GVWR of 16K. This means...

  • Will Ford TPMS for Trailers Work with 17-1/2 Trailer Wheels
I do have an option for you but the Ford TPMS for Trailers only works with 15" and smaller trailer wheels due to the valve stem hole size of .452" they use. The valve stem hole size on a 16" and larger trailer wheel like the Westlake 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w 17-1/2" Lynx Aluminum Wheel # LHAS701 will be .625". Therefore, in order to run TPMS on larger wheels you'll need an aftermarket system like the Tuson Towable Tire Pressure Monitoring System part # 335TPMS6WIVS.

  • Can 17.5 Inch Tires and Wheels be Used in Place of 16 Inch on a Gooseneck Trailer
For load rang H tires we only have those in the 17-1/2 inch size. If there is room enough above the tires you have now to go to the taller size then you certainly could as long as you have an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern. The tires and wheels in this size all have an offset with the exception of # LHAS701 which has a zero offset. That means the mounting surface is at the dead center of the wheel. A positive offset moves the tire closer to the trailer and negative moves it further away so you...

  • What 17.5 Inch Diameter 8-Bolt Trailer Wheels Fit My DRV Estate Fifth Wheel Trailer?
For your 2013 DRV Estate fifth-wheel trailer, it really depends on whether your 17.5 inch diameter wheels are a 8 on 275mm bolt pattern or a 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern. If you have an 8 on 275mm pattern, the only one we carry is the Taskmaster Steel Wheel # 1750275WD4. If, however, you have a 8 on 6-1/2 pattern, I recommend either the Americana Modular Wheel # AM22461 (-0.5 offset). The Westlake 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w 17-1/2" Lynx Aluminum Wheel - LR J # LHAS701 has an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern so as long as the existing wheels share this same pattern (they do) and you have space for the new size (30.2" diameter x 8.3" wide) then they will fit without issue. The new size tires are actually a hair smaller than the old so there should be no fit issues as far as clearance goes.

Yes, that is correct. 90°F to 96°F is completely normal for your Cooper tires to be at. • Higher Capacity Wheel and Tire Setup Recommendation for Toy Hauler Used in Sand
For what you are looking for the most ideal setup will be one that has more sidewall than the 17.5 inch wheel setup you referenced as the more sidewall you have the more the footprint can easily expand when aired down. So going with a 16 inch wheel and tire like the part # A16RG8BMMFL would be a better option. You get the higher weight capacity of 4,400-lb maximum load at 110 psi and since the sidewall is larger (due to the wheel being smaller) you'd end up with more of a footprint. This...

In situations like this, your vehicle is rated for the maximum weight that the frame, engine and components are safely rated for without risking damage to the frame or engine.
