Replacement Hubs, Brake Assemblies, and Tire/Wheel Combination for Old Trailer With Dexter Axles

How do I send u picts of a trailer wheel I want u to match to so I can replace it I need a replacement hub / brake drum for this old 15 dexter . Also need the brake unit and a 15 rim for a tire Thnx

I have replacement hub, brake, and tire/wheel options to replace what you have on your Dexter axle. They will fit the spindle measurements that you sent me of:

A is 3"
B is 2.125"
C is 1.75"
D is 1.25"
E is 1"

The replacement hub and drum assembly that fits that spindle is the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 42866UC3. With this assembly you will need to purchase the grease seal # GS-2125DL which has the smaller I.D. of 2.125 inches. If you have E-Z Lube spindles on your trailer then you might be interested in the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-219-4UC3-EZ instead which comes with the correct grease seal and keeps you from having to remove the dust cap to grease the zerk fitting on your spindle. These assemblies are rated for 5,200 - 7,000 lb axles.

If you have electric brakes then I recommend going with our Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA, but if you have hydraulic brakes you will want the Hydraulic Brake Kit # AKFBBRK-7 instead. These kits come with brakes for both the left and right side of the axle. They will be labeled which one is for which side when you receive them.

Since the only replacement hubs that we had for your axle use 8 on 6-1/2 bolt patterns you will need to use a tire/wheel combination that uses the same pattern. We have a few different tire sizes that fit wheels with this bolt pattern. The tire that you currently have on your trailer has a Height of 6.9 inches, a Width of 7.5 inches, and a Diameter of 28.8 inches. I recommend going with the Westlake # LHAS701 as a replacement which is a 215/75/17.5 size tire. This means that it has a Height of 6.3 inches, a Width of 8.6 inches, and a Diameter of 30.2 inches. This is the closest tire and wheel dimensions to what you currently have. A more economical option would be the Provider # TA95ZR.

You will want to make sure that you have enough room for a tire that is about an inch wider and about 3/4 of an inch closer to the bed of your trailer and the each other. We recommend at least 3 inches of clearance between a fender (or in your case the bed of your trailer) and no less than 2 inches between each tire when the axles are next to each other as is your case.
