Steel Lug Nut Inserts
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.
- If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
- If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
- If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
- If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

We were on the road when the original rim cracked on our VanLeigh. We ordered this replacement which was sent in a box two-three times the size of the rim with a couple pieces of packing paper. The rim slid around in the box with little to no protection. Though the rim, at this time, will work, I expected more from etrailer. Sending wheels in a box two-three times the size of the wheel is unacceptable. Do better etrailer!

I chose this wheel due to the fact it was half the price of my original, and I like the looks of it better than the original. Having now a mismatched set of wheels on a tandem trailer, I plan to order another so at least from one side of the trailer will look correct. Britney was awesome to work with and so helpful. The rims would of look nice if the rims were packaged better!! They put 2 rims Per box. The box’s was nice thick cardboard with absolutely nothing inside to separate them one thin piece of paper!! So during shipping they smashed and bang together and tore the faces up dings and nicks throughout all the rims except for one that came in a separate box but that box had a hole in it so the Valvestems I got for them we’re just rolling around in the box not even in a package so therefore 2 of them fell out during shipping so now I have 3 valve stems for 5 rims!!! The man I dealt with when I bought them was excellent the shipping not so much!! The person who packed them might’ve been having a bad day??

This is a replacement for an OEM aluminum wheel on my 2018 RiverStone that was leaking due to a small crack. I personally found the website a little balky and difficult to locate the exact wheel I was looking for, hence only a four star rating. I don’t know if I’d ever have found it without the assistance of a young employee at Les Schwab Tires. That said, it was the exact same wheel and will match the rest. The price seemed reasonable to me, shipping was free and was fast. I will definitely do business with etrailer.com again.

- How To Use 17.5" Wheels On a 7,000 Lb Trailer AxleIn order to use 17.5" diameter trailer wheels you'll need to upgrade to 9/16" lug studs. There are no other options as all wheels this size use this size or larger since they are designed for more weight. In order to do this you'll need the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # AKHD-865-7-1-K for standard or part # AKHD-865-7-1-EZ-K for EZ-Lube.
