Lionshead Roadside Assistance Program

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.

1-Year No Excuses Guarantee

This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.

Steel Lug Nut Inserts

Lionshead Aluminum Wheels with Steel Lug-Nut Inserts

This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.

Westlake Radials

This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.

Westlake Standard Tread Close-Up

The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Great service from website ordering to tracking the delivery,
Will be ordering one more of the same plus tires and wheels for my other trailers, 1

by:

Needed some new tires for Daytona and this was the way to go and saved me a trip to the tire shop with my Toy Hauler

by:

These made a huge difference in the looks of my trailer. etrailer is great about shipping their products. Took about three days to deliver!

by:

Easy to order, shipped fast, easy to install. Great improvement over standard steel wheels that came with the trailer.

by:

Great tires. Best on the market for 15". High load rating and have held up great so far. Love that they're mounted & balanced before shipping!!! Filled with nitrogen at 80psi so they were ready to go once I got them. Tire wear is holding up great so far.

by:

The tires arrived very fast and they look great. I'm very happy with my purchase and will buy again from etrailer.

by:

Awsome tires at the best price !

by:

I am very happy with the decision to purchase these tires. They are heavy duty and probably beyond my needs, but for the price, it is worth the peace of mind. I initially thought that the nitrogen was a gimmick, but I can tell you that after having them just about a year now, I have never even had to top off the pressure.

by:

I really like the tire & wheel. I don't like the fact you put a sticker on the wheel. even though it is a warning about to only use soap & water. The adhesive on the sticker is so strong you need chemical to remove. So contradict the sticker in the first place.

by:

The items did not ship until after the initial estimated delivery date. Other than I didn't have this order when needed, and even allowing an extra day for the estimated delivery, everything else was great. I was surprised that the tires were fully inflated upon delivery. A small detail but small details means success.

by:

Just what my car hauler needed. Fresh tires and wheels. Especially wheels that look good with my lifted F250 wheels.

by:

I could not believe the shipping time. It was shipped the same day I ordered it and arrived a day early. I am really impressed. Thank you so much.

by:

We just left for a long weekend and every thing is still great.

by:

Very happy with the look! Went with the stainless steel center caps and chrome lug nuts. Matches the boat. Heavy duty tires.

by:

These tires are wearing well and still look great after a year and about 6,000 miles.

by:

I haven’t driven more than about 10 feet on it yet, but it makes my other tires look like junk. I think I’ll be needing to order 3 more.
I really like that it is prefilled with nitrogen. My trailer tires get low when it gets cold out and I always accidentally fill them to 35 Lbs because that’s what the pump is set to stop at, so being under inflated the side walls ended up getting wrecked. The nitrogen has so far not seemed to have contracted at all while my other tires are constantly needing to be topped up.
The rim also looks much better than the stock trailer rims. I’ll update my review if necessary once the weather gets nicer and I start actually driving on the tire.

by:

Needed a specific wheel and tire combo for our food truck - talked with Mike L. and found no worries. Excellent transaction = A+ Thanks Mike

by:

Great service, fast delivery and an exact match for my RV. I intend on using it as a spare. Thanks etrailer.com

by:

by:

by:

by:

Exactly what I needed.

by:

by:

  • Upgrading a Steel Wheel to an Aluminum Wheel with a Radial Tire
The Westlake ST225/75R15 # LH36FR will definitely be a good replacement for your current tire and wheel set up. The 6 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern is the industry standard for 6 lug wheels on trailers, so that will not be a problem at all. With aluminum wheels, you do need to go with a longer lug nut due to the holes being recessed into the aluminum, so the Lionshead # LHLR103 will be the ones I suggest. These also do not include a center cap, so you will need to go with the Lionshead # LHCS108-SI60C...

  • Recommendation to Upgrade Trailer Tires From 205/75-15 to 225/75-15 Tires
The wheel for a 205/75-15 tire will actually be the same for a 225/75-15 as that last number "15" corresponds to the size of the wheel. If you're talking about the width of the wheel then I would go with the Westlake ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # LHWL304 as it fits 15" x 5" and 15" x 6" wide wheels which are the 2 most commons widths. If you'd rather just get new tires AND wheels so you know they all fit then I recommend the following depending on what size bolt pattern...

You were correct in your assessment that the appropriate center cap for your Westlake Radial Tire, # LH36FR, is the Lionshead Trailer Wheel Center Cap, # LHCS108-SI60C.
