Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance
This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.
Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.
Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
In an ideal world, tire-and-wheel assemblies would be perfectly round and even throughout. Unfortunately tires and wheels have imperfections that often cause vibrations, resulting in a rough ride and wear and tear on the assemblies, as well as on the rest of your trailer's running gear. Taskmaster helps to solve this problem by match mounting and balancing their assemblies so they're ready to roll when they reach your door.
To do this, Taskmaster uses a laser-guided machine to locate the heavy and light spots of each assembly. They then align the assembly so that lightest part of the tire is near the heaviest part of the wheel. The assembly is then rotated at high speeds to pinpoint the optimal place to apply weights to further balance the tire.
Don't delay your adventures by having to take your trailer to the shop for new tires. Start rolling as soon as possible with easy-to-install, fully balanced tire-and-wheel assemblies from Taskmaster.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Provider ST235/80R16 radial trailer tire in a load range E, and it's mounted on this 16" black machined Viking aluminum wheel with the eight on 6 1/2" bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly is ideal for RVs, campers, and trailers. Now what's unique on this assembly is the tire is match-mounted and balanced to the wheel to give you ride comfort and durability. And when we say match mounting, what it is is match mounting of tires and wheels is a process in which the tire's installation position onto the wheel is specifically selected to minimize the final force of imbalance. The method to match mounting is they align the tire's lightest spot with the wheel's heaviest spot, and that eliminates most of the radial force that can cause tire and suspension wear.
Then they do the final balancing by applying weights to specific spots on the inner and outer rear of the wheel to eliminate any chance of uneven wearer vibration. So if you notice on this wheel, if you look right here, on the inner portion they have the weights attached, and then on the outer edge they have the weights attached. So when you do receive this, this tire wheel assembly will be all balanced, ready to go. The wheel that it's mounted on is an aluminum wheel. It's durable, lightweight, and rustproof.
This one is the Viking Series Valhalla design. As you can see, it's an eight-spoke design in a black finish. And then they have the nice machine face, silver face on the spokes. Now on the front and even on the back of the wheel, they do a matte clear coating to protect the wheel from scuffs and scratches. And if you notice on this assembly, it does include your center cap for a nice finish look.
It is a chrome metal center cap. (fingers tapping) That is included, so when you do get it, you'll slide your cap from the back and then install your tire and wheel assembly onto your vehicle or trailer. You're all ready to go. The wheel dimension, 16" diameter. The width on just the wheel, 6 1/2".
Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is eight on 6 1/2". And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this, that's an even number of lugs, eight lugs. It's pretty easy because the lug holes are directly across from each other so all you have to do is pick any one of the holes, like say this one, and then you measure from the center of this lug hole directly across to the center of the lug hole right across from it. So on this it'll measure 6 1/2" so that means this is an eight-lug, 6 1/2" bolt pattern wheel. Now the lug size, the wheel lug size that'll work on this wheel is a 1/2" by 20, or 9/16 x 18. Weight capacity of just the wheel by itself, 4,450 pounds. And that pilot hole diameter, which is this large hole that the center cap goes through, fits over the hub on your trailer, diameter, this opening, 4.9". Now they do use steel inserts right here in the lug nut wells where your lug nuts go when you tighten them down. Those steel inserts will help prevent the wheel, or keep the wheel securely in place on the trailer hub. It prevents those holes from elongating or wearing down and eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts. The tire that's mounted on this is a radial tire. It's constructed with double steel belts, double polyester cords. It's great for highway use. The nylon tread firming belt overlay helps prevent tread separation, and this tire is baked tested to ensure that the rubber holds over time. The tread on it is an automotive grade tread. Has the sipes, which you can see are all those cuts in the tread blocks. And what those sipes do is they'll channel the water away from underneath the tire to improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions. We mentioned this as a trailer tire. It is marked ST, which means special trailer tire design, so it couples the strength of a bias tire with the durability and stability of a radio tire. It is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on any other vehicles. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, ST, we mentioned, for special trailer, 235/80R16. R means it's a radial. Section width on this tire is 9.3". Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 30.8". This is a load range E tire, which means it's a 10-ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 3,520 pounds at 80 psi. And these trailer tires now come through with a speed rating on 'em and they stamp it by a letter designation on the sidewall. And where you'll find that is right after the tire size we just went over, you'll see two numbers for the load index, and then the letter M. Speed rating M will mean this has an 81-mile-per-hour speed rating. This does have a two-year platinum plus warranty, which includes emergency tire change service and other benefits. And this assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications and SAE standards. But that's gonna do it for the review on the Provider ST235/80R16 radial trailer tire in a load range E on a 16" black machined Viking aluminum wheel with the eight on 6 1/2" bolt pattern.

Center caps were missing and the wheels weren't even packaged. Even the ups guy made a comment about how poorly it was packaged. Shrink wrap around the tread, that's it.
I forgot to order lug nuts should have a suggestion to order them with the tires and rims. Looks great going to dress up the fish house nicely!!!
I couldn't be more happy unless you pay me to buy them Lol the tires and wheels was great quality would buy them again thank you so much
I did not receive the center caps for these wheels. Had to call in and ask them to send me a set of four.
Was exactly what we needed. It matches our other wheels perfectly. The delivery time was awesome. In truth wasn’t expecting it to get here that fast.
Good quality, fast delivery, and cost effective versus your local tire shop.
Fast shipping! Got to my 3 days ahead of schedule. Item exactly as described.
Easy ordering, prompt delivery very eff icient
I had to wait about six months for this order to be delivered, but it was due to supply chain issues, something out of etrailers control. Through the entire process etrailer kept me updated with monthly emails.
They emailed me on Monday and let me know the items were in and that I would have them by Wednesday. They were actually delivered on Tuesday.
It was a long wait, but I am very happy with the way etrailer handled everything and I’m very happy with the items I ordered.
These wheels and tires make my 2003 Triton TR-186 look like a brand new boat. Very satisfied with the speed of shipping and engagement by the E-trailer staff to get these to me. Only issue was that I couldn't use the center caps as they are too short for my bearing buddies. I think they look great even without them.
Excellent wheel and tire set up. Arrived quickly as always from eTrailer. Had them balanced and installed then racked up 10K miles through everything from normal road conditions to snow, ice and slop conditions. These tires are on my cargo trailer mainly used for hauling snowmobiles and motorcycles. I no longer worry about my trailer tires while traveling.
Love the wheel and tire combo and quick shipping. Only issue was they did not come with center caps as stated in the description. However, I was not intending on using the center caps anyway.
I used these on my shorelander boat trailer that had 14 inch wheels. Worked great plenty of clearance. Very heavy Cobalt 21 ft boat for it's size. Holds the load well.
Wow, this wheel not only looks great, but you can immediately see how much better quality the tire is than the OEM E-rated tires. I feel much more confident in these tires as I travel with my large Keystone 5th Wheel RV.
Wheels and tires shipped very fast. They were packaged well and no damage. They look awesome and pull very smooth on my boat trailer. I will purchase again when needed.
Awesome tires I put them on our 22' Load Trail tilt deck. We haul our Cat 259D and 305C on it just about every day and I have no complaints. Tread wear so far is not noticeable at all. Rims are holding up great to harsh winters here in Michigan. I have several friends that have purchased same package due to our experience.
Wheels and tires are good. Shipping not so good. They were backordered, Pushed center caps wrapped in 1 layer of bubble wrap into center of wheels and sent UPS with no other means of protection. One center cap missing when arrived. They sent a replacement cap that did not match the other 3.
