Built-In Offset for Dual Applications
This tire-and-wheel assembly is designed to be used in dual-wheel setups. The 5.59" offset allows the wheel to be positioned closer to the trailer frame when used as the inner wheel of the setup. And if you use this assembly as the outer tire and wheel, the offset ensures that it will sit closer to the outside of your trailer. This hub-piloted wheel centers on the hub, not the lugs, and it requires the use of flange nuts (sold separately) for installation.
Corrosion-Resistant Finish
The steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and finished on both sides with baked-on DuPont powder paint.
Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the Provider 235/75R17.5 Radial Tire in a load range J, on this 17 and a half inch silver, dual steel wheel, with the 8 on 275 millimeter bolt pattern. Now this tire and wheel assembly is designed for use on dual wheel trucks, buses, and trailers. This dual wheel uses a wheel offset that allows the assembly to be used as either the inner or the other wheel of a dual wheel set-up. The wheel is a heavy-duty steel wheel. It is a four-handhold design wheel, it's very sturdy and corrosion resistant. Now this wheel does go through a three-step finishing process, which will first include a zinc-phosphate bath, then an eco-primer, and they do a silver powder coat on both sides of the wheel. And on this dual wheel, if you'll notice, the center disk, it is spun formed from a fine grained steel, and that it's fully welded into place for strength and durability.
This is a hub-piloted wheel, so it does require the use of flange nuts for installation, we do sell those separately on our website. Now the tire that's mounted on this, it's constructed with a double steel belt, double polyester cords for a nice, long life. It's great for highway use. They do also use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. This does offer the tread depth bars like you see on your passenger cars. Gives us a quick visual indication of the tread wear. Now on a tire this large, it is stamped, it is regroovable for additional mileage, but you do want to check with your federal and state laws in your area because they may apply as far as regrooving the tire.
This tire is bake tested to ensure the that the rubber holds up over time, and this whole assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications, and exceeds your Federal Motor Vehicle safety standards. Now a few measurements on this. The diameter on the wheel, which is always measured inside to inside, is 17 and a half inches. The width on just the wheel is six and three-quarter inches wide. The bolt pattern we mentioned is an eight on 275 millimeters. There's your eight lugs, and the distance, if you measured that bolt pattern from the center of this hole directly across to the center right across from it, would be 275 millimeters.
We had mentioned they use a flange nut, because it's a hub piloted wheel. It uses the lug nut size of five eighths by 18 size flange nut. Now the weight capacity on just the wheel is 5675 pounds. Pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center, this is 8.7 inches. And we mentioned it has a dual offset that was designed, depending if you use it for an inner or outer wheel, so the offset would either be a positive 5.59 inches, or a negative 5.59 inches. And the tire size, which is stamped right here on the tire, 235/75R17.5, the "R" stands for "Radial designed tire." Section width on this is gonna be right at 9.2 inches.
Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's fully inflated is 31.4 inches. And this tire is a load range J, which means it's an 18 ply rated tire. So in a dual load, or in a dual tire set-up, the maximum load on this is 5675 pounds, at 127 PSI. And the last thing I do want to mention is most all the new tires are coming through with a speed rating, and the speed rating on this would be, if you look right after the size we just went over, you'll see two numbers, which is the load index, and then the letter "M". The letter M will mean "127", or I'm sorry, the letter M will mean "81 miles per hour speed rating".But that should do it for the review on the Provider 235/75R17.5 Radial Tire in a load range J, on this 17 and a half inch silver dual steel wheel, with the 8 on 275 millimeter bolt pattern.

I understand you can’t ship something you haven’t received, but the updates made it seem more personal for a online order. Thanks
True to form order seems to always make it here even if it is out of stock.
Received the tires in 5 day and they bolted right on to my 10 ton trailer, these are some good looking tires!
Excellent set of wheels and rubber.
Also I converted electric brakes (all four) to server motor powered hydraulic (caliper). They operate in either forward or reverse.
Rather impressive.
When I found your web page I was a little skeptical, the pricing on the tires and rims was good but I figured the shipping would kill us getting 8 tires and rims to Alaska. I was wrong, it was way less than I figured. I will definitely order from you folks again!
Thanks, you saved us a lot from what it would cost us up here.
I haven't installed the wheels and tires on my trailer axles yet. I like what I received they work as good as they look I'll be well satisfied.
I had a double blow out and one of my rims cracked. So I ordered these and they look great. I plan on installing them on my gooseneck this weekend. The four lighted 7 way plugs are awesome. I am slowly changing all 15 of my trailers over to these plugs. In the daytime it's hard to tell if everything is working or that a fuse hasn't blown, so these lighted plugs help you trust your connection. Thanks for the great pricing and prompt shipping.
Tire and wheel combo fit perfect. Workmanship on the wheel was better than the factory wheel I was replacing. The tire looks to be a heavy duty tire but only time will tell. This tire and wheel combo was installed on a 2017 Trailmax TD40T Tilt Trailer. etrailer has a lot of great info and there prices where the best I could find. The best part was that the tire wheel combo showed up in 2 days, that is some quick shipping.
Great product and fast shipping. Although it came with a half metal, half rubber valve stem and I have found that it’s neccessary to have a full metal valve stem with a 110psi tire and the temperatures they can reach.
The tires and wheels were delivered in less time than quoted ! Overall completely satisfied!!
Taping some foam to the wheel mounting surface would do wonders to keep from having to paint brand new wheels that had the paint scratched off.
Shipping was fast!!!!! Love how much thicker the material is on these wheels. I bought these to replace some ebay wheels that keep leaking on the welds. So far so good. [Thumbs Up]
Great rim and tire
