Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Caliper with the Max Coating, and this is for a 10,000 pound to 12,000 pound axles. Now this is a single piston caliper. It is constructed with zinc plated cast iron for superior corrosion resistance. The cast iron construction of it prevents flexing, helps keep your braking torque consistent, and they do put a Max Coating over this caliper to provide superior corrosion resistance for freshwater, saltwater use.
This coating does have a 1000 hour salt spray rating to it. Now this is a floating design, so it does ensure smoother braking with less wear and potential leaks. It is a large single piston. Let me just spin this around and tilt it up a little bit, and you can see there's your large single piston right there. It is stainless steel to provide absolute rust protection, and it'll even minimize sticking by maintaining integrity of the piston.
The brake pads they use on these are ceramic brake pads. They provide superior performance for more consistent braking. They'll withstand high temperatures for maximum wear, and if you look closely on the edges right here, they are chamfered on both edges, and in right in the middle they are slotted. And these are those designs are designed to help prevent squealing of your brake pads. They do give you laser etched instructions.
We spin it around over to here. Right on the face where the piston is. They do have laser etched instructions to take the guesswork out of installing and bleeding your brakes. If you notice right up here where the bleeder screw is comes with with a attached rubber bleeder cap that you put over the bleeder screw to ensure no contamination gets into your brake system. And it does include the stainless steel caliper bolts for installation.
A few specs on this again. The axle rating this fits is 10,000 pound to 12,000 pound axles. (styrofoam scrapes) But that should do it for the review on the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Caliper with the Max Coating for 10,000 pound to 12,000 pound axles.
