1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee

This tire has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.

Bias Tires vs. Radial Tires

Bias vs. radial tire graphic

Bias ply tires are designed for off-road or agricultural applications. They are built with thick, durable nylon cords that are positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle to the direction of travel. The layers alternate in a crisscross pattern, making the sidewalls stiffer so that the entire tire is able to flex easily. As a result, the tire provides a smooth ride and improved handling when trailering on uneven surfaces.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

  • Can you Replace Just One Tire on an EZ Go Golf Cart
You can most certainly replace just one tire on your golf cart. One thing to keep in mind is to make sure the one you use matches the specs of the others. The Kenda K389 Hole-N-1 Bias Golf Cart Tire, part # AM40537, is a bias tire that fits 8" x 7" wheels with a load range of B. It has an outer diameter of 17.6" when inflated. • Recommended Wheel and Tire To Replace 18x8.5-8 Tire On 1999 Comfab Trailer
I have another option for you, but the Kenda K500 SuperTurf Tire with 8" White Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range B # AM89992 is for off-road use only and cannot be used on the highway. Instead I recommend the Kenda K389 Hole-N-1 Bias Golf Cart Tire - 18x8.50-8 - Load Range B # AM40537 which will be an exact replacement for the 18.x8.5-8 tire on your 1999 Comfab Trailer, and has a load rating of 815lbs at 22 PSI. For a replacement wheel I recommend the Steel Trailer Wheel - 8" x 7" Rim -...

  • What PSI Should Be Used On Golf Cart Wheel That Say 30 PSI On The Sidewall
The air pressure in any tire should be listed on the tire itself and if it says 30 psi, that is the psi I recommend using. Special trailer tires should be inflated to their maximum air pressure. for example, the tire you came from, part # AM40537 has the psi listed at 22 on the sidewall. If a trailer tire is inflated to a lower air pressure than the maximum, the amount of weight that the tire can carry will be reduced. If a heavier load is put on the trailer tire than what is recommended...

This tire is the exact same width as the tire your trailer was designed for, but will be right at 1/2" an inch shorter. • Is 36PSI To High Of a Tire Pressure For a 18 x 8.5 - 8 Golf Cart Tire?
That does sound a bit high but this may be due to the maximum load capacity on your specific tire. As an example our 18x8.50-8 # AM40537 is a load range B tire with the maximum tire pressure at 22psi. If your tires have a higher load range or capacity over 815lbs this would explain the higher maximum tire pressure rating you have of 36 psi. Typically tires with a higher capacity will have more plys making them require a higher tire pressure.

  • Wheel and Tire Compatibility with Toro Z4200 Riding Mower Rear Tires
The 18x8.5 will give you a tire wider than your 7.50 tire. It will give you more tread because of the width so you will have better traction as well as a slightly wider mower as the tires will add 3/4 inch to the outside of each tire. You will want to make sure you have the internal clearance for the extra width of tire without making contact with the wheel well or frame. The Kenda K389 Hole-N-1 Bias Golf Cart Tire - 18x8.50-8 # AM40537 is a great option for your riding lawn mower wheels....

  • What is the Difference Between a 18x8.5-8 and 18x8.5-10 Tire?
The difference between your 18x8.5-8 tire and the 18x8.5-10 is the size of the wheel; the 18x8.5-10 is going to have a 10" diameter wheel, which unless you had the available clearance and wanted to change all 4 wheel/tires is going to be too large. You'll want to replace your existing tire with the same size tire like the Kenda # AM40537 , which is a Load Range B tire that is size 18x8.5-8 and will match your current tires. For golf cart tires you want to go with the middle of the air pressure range that is designed for the tire. Most likely the range for your tire is 18-22 psi so 20 psi would be ideal. Too much pressure and the ride quality will be harsh and the center of the tread will wear out. Too little pressure will cause the sidewalls to wear out.
