Bias ply tires are designed for off-road or agricultural applications. They are built with thick, durable nylon cords that are positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle to the direction of travel. The layers alternate in a crisscross pattern, making the sidewalls stiffer so that the entire tire is able to flex easily. As a result, the tire provides a smooth ride and improved handling when trailering on uneven surfaces.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

I ordered four tires mounted on galvanized rims. They showed up today very well individually boxes. Everything with the order process went great as usual. Looking forward to mounting them on the trailer this weekend.
These tires will be hard to beat in quality, durability and price. These aren't the exact tires I was looking for, but they suit my needs. The staff at Etrailer.com definitely knew what I needed and ensured the bolt pattern was correct for my style of enclosed cargo trailer.
The staff also understood that this trailer at times has limited use, and I wanted a tire and rim set that would be able to stand up to some rather harsh environments. Add in the fact that when we do use this trailer, empty it weighs 2200 pounds. When we add items into the trailer it could exceed 5500 lbs. The load rating for the tires is sufficient to meet our rather hefty amount of items that we tow around.
It will be a matter of time before we know for certain how well these tires will hold up and how well they act on the road. We have a rather rigorous schedule ahead and this will be a good test.
In a nutshell, so far so good. I doubt you'll be able to find a good galvanized rim and tire combo cheaper. Simply pick up the phone and call these people and order your tires. you will be glad you did.

The ties are as described above. They arent as rigid as the original tires on the trailer, but things change. I have taken the cargo traier on several coin shows and they perform satisfactory. Ive taken the trailer on about a dozen coin show trips and though these trips are less than 3 hours each way, these do the job. I think they grip the road pretty well, and that may affect the gas mileage some as well. For the price, service and warranty, the product is a winner. You can check your local tool superstore, but I doubt they will have the quality of tire you get on this website.
The tire and wheel combo was received just as described and expected from etrailer's web page and discussions with their staff. They were purchased as a complete replacement for an equipment/heavy duty tandem axle utility trailer (which gets occasional use). They meet or exceed the trailer manufacturer's original specs. I was debating between bias ply (original spec) or upgrading to radials. My research, along with support, confirmations and suggestions from etrailer's professional, courteous and knowledgeable staff, prompted the best option/advantage was to stick with the bias ply. I have had good experience with Loadstar bias ply tires in the past, which also helped solidify my decision. My choice of galvanized rims to replace the rusted original white spoke rims should provide better appearance and integrity for years to come. I have yet to mount the tires and rims, but anticipate no problems and they will more than satisfy my needs. I am also confident etrailer and Kenda/Loadstar will stand behind their product should a problem occur.

Used on a 16 ft utility trailer. The old tires were worn and the rims rusty after some ten years in Louisiana rain. So I bought the galvanized rims and mounted tires.
