The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.
If a trailer is 80" or wider at its widest point, then it requires rear clearance lights in addition to basic trailer lights. These clearance lights indicate the width of the trailer when it is viewed from the back.
To meet these requirements on a flatbed utility trailer where the bed extends past the wheels, you can install combination trailer lights that include the rear clearance function. For proper mounting, the lights must be installed at the widest points on the rear of the trailer - one on each corner.

I thought the wires would have plug connectors (bayonet type for the ground).

I finally got around to installing the light. I must say I like how it looks. Its a better fit than the original. A few things to make it better would be higher quality hardware. Stainless would be great. At least include a flat washer. The tiny little nut wasn't a standard size 1/4-20 nut; it was smaller. So the nut and lock washer wanted to slip partially into the hole on the mounting plate. Better hardware would cost only pennies more. Another improvement would be including wire splicers and shrink tubing to make a water proof splice. Attached is a picture of the left side.
The tail light was delivered in short order and in perfect condition. It was an exact fit for the broken one it was replacing. Installation complete in just a few minutes. I then built hard covers so I don't smash the lights with my riding lawn mower again.

I think the directions on the packaging don't match the product for replacing a blown bulb. There are NO screws for removal of access to bulb. There is a hatch, but I do not want to break any plastic parts trying to get into it.

After a year of light use no pun intended the tail light continues to working flawlessly. etrailer.com remains my go to resource.
Good description and perfect fit.
Worked great until the trailer bottomed out and destroyed it. It was a perfect fit for my Karavan trailer, but the light bracket is too low and not protected on the underside, so it is easily damaged. I'd buy 2 in the future if I ever redesign the taillight brackets.

Works great as promised
Easy to install. But not working after a year. Not sure why. Haven't had the chance to look into it.
Worked great till a storm dropped a tree branch on it.
just received trailer lights today-shipping was great-packaging was great--product is not what I have experienced from etrailer in the past. These are supposed to be submersible trailer lights but the bottom is open so water will get in and corrode the sockets and the info on the package says that to replace the bulbs to unscrew the lens but there are no screws(the cover only snaps into place). The wiring comes out of the bottom of the light without the usual ability to reroute around the back without pinching the wires. These are not a good choice for a boat trailer

The light casing is designed with holes for moisture and rain to escape. The circuit board is sealed on the inside.
I'm a happy guy. This is not my first trailer part order from etrailer, and each order has been serviced and received very promptly.
My trailer entertains many "issues" and obstacles during duck hunting season, and etrailer has kept me operating in very timely fashion. Word.

After a year its still working fine! It fit like original and looks the same!
All the parts I ordered were correct and of good quality. The customer service was outstanding!! I spent probably 30 minutes on the phone with Danielle as we tried to figure out exactly what axle was on my trailer ( wasn’t what it was supposed to be ). The parts showed up in a pretty reasonable amount of time considering the pandemic was in full swing. The prices also were very reasonable, as she searched her inventory for the best price, found a package deal for me with more than I was looking for at less cost than buying the parts individually. I will use them again for sure and definitely recommend them to anyone needing trailer parts.

I just ordered another one as the first one lasted 3 months before breaking. The lens broke away from the bracket. I'll give one another chance but since it is cheap maybe you get what you pay for?
