2-1/2" x 1-1/8" Oblong. Waterproof LED trailer light serves as a clearance or side marker light when properly mounted. Durable polycarbonate housing and lens. Surface mount - hardware not included. 1-Wire design. P2 rated.
Features:
Specs:
Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be checking out and showing you how to hook up, the Optronics Mini-LED Clearance or Side Marker Light. When it comes to adding or even replacing trailer lights, I always suggest going with LEDs, and that's exactly what these are. They're gonna have two diodes and they're amber in color. So these will work for the front of your trailer or the sides if you need to do lights on the back. There's also red ones available as well.
But with LEDs, you just get a lot brighter, cleaner light. You don't have to worry about, you know, the old incandescent bulbs burning out on you. They use less power and the main benefit is they're gonna last so much longer. You know with these, you do 'em once, it's probably gonna be the last time you'll ever have to mess with them, or at the very least, you won't have to deal with them for quite some time. One thing I do like about these is they have a clear lens.
I personally like 'em, I think it looks a little more modern, just kind of blends in a little bit better. Not that appearance is usually a huge deal on a trailer but if you're gonna go through the trouble of putting it on and whatnot, why not have it look a little bit better, at least in my opinion. If you'd rather just go with the traditional, you know, colored type lens, you can always grab that style as well. A lot of people, I know myself included, would wonder if this is gonna be a direct replacement for the light I already have on there 'cause personally I don't like drilling extra holes if I don't need to. So give you a couple quick measurements, the overall width of this is gonna be two and a half inches wide.
From the center hole to the center hole, that's gonna be an inch and 7/8, so pretty common, pretty common size there. It's gonna be an inch and 1/8 tall and 5/8 of an inch thick, so this should work for a lot of people in terms of, you know, a direct replacement. Here's what the back of the light is gonna look like. And this is all sealed up. This little black plastic piece kind of snapped in there, but inside, it's all sealed.
So these are gonna be submersible. I do suggest, so if you're putting these on a boat or something, your back into the water, just turn the power off, just to help extend the life expectancy of them. And this is gonna be a one wire design, so this will be your power and then this will be your ground. So the hardware that you use to bolt this up to your trailer, that'll provide the ground. So when you do this, you are gonna have to make sure that it's on a metal portion of the trailer. That way it will get the appropriate ground. If yours is different or you're gonna be putting this somewhere where it's not metal, you can always get a two wire one for your power and then an individual ground wire where you can always hook it up that way. So at the end of the day, you know, a light you really can't go wrong with. It looks good and being that it's LED, gonna last quite some time. And if you need anything else replaced, we have tons of different trailer parts that you can grab while you're at it if you need any. In terms of getting this installed, super easy. Everyone's situation will be a little bit different, depending on your trailer set up and everything, but we'll go ahead and and do this one together, and hopefully get you going in the right direction. To get the light on, you can first remove the old one if you have an old one in there and then if your wiring is good shape, you can simply reuse it, which ours is. So what we're gonna do though, is strip the end of the insulation back there to expose that wire. And I'm gonna use a butt connector. We'll slide over the bare end. And I'll crimp that down. And we'll simply just take our wire coming off of our new light. Place that into the other end of the connector, crimp it down. And I'm using heat shrink butt connectors. The ends will seal up and help protect against corrosion. So I'll come back with my heat source and seal the ends up. (heat gun whirring) Since the light does get grounded, you know, to our trailer, you wanna make sure that the surface is clean, so I just hit it with a little sandpaper there. And we'll simply just start to, we'll feed everything in and bolt it up. So this isn't gonna come with screws, you can reuse your old ones if you need to or always grab some new ones. It's a good idea to test everything out to make sure our lights work. So I just plugged in a test box and we will power up our running lights. If you don't have one of these, you can always use your vehicle, keep in mind though, if your vehicle has any issues, might mislead you into thinking it's something that we did on the trailer side. And that'll finish up our look at and installation of the Optronics Mini-LED Clearance and Side Marker Light.

They were a perfect match to the existing lights on my trailer and simple to install. I have had no issues since installing them. Thanks for the follow up!
Love my clearance lights and they match the ones on the trailer. Very bright and easy to hook up. If I need more etrailer is the place that I will shop. I'm very happy with all of their products so far.
Just as pictured!
Ended up needing the two wire marker lights rather than the one wire.
The one wire light appeared to be ok just not for me.
The parts that I ordered were correct and shipping was crazy fast
Exactly as described. High quality LED. Lights
Wanted toads more to our trailer and they are awesome. Love etrailer products.
Perfect replacement for my old lights. Same size and shape.
Exact replacement part. Perfect fit.
It was delivered on time and works great I tell everyone to use e trAiler
Good quality is better than the one I'm replacing. The lead wire could have been a little longer which would have made it a little quicker and easier to install.
