Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this etrailer galvanized steel rectangular backing plate for tandem-axle trailer fenders. This backing plate will offer extra support for your trailer fenders and adds extra splash protection, if used on an open trailer. This is designed to work with etrailer tandem axle trailer fenders. It is an 18-gauge galvanized steel, resist rust and corrosion.
And the thickness on this is about one 16th of an inch thick. This part is made in the USA. Again, it's for a quantity of one backing plate. Give you the dimensions on this. Overall length, it's going to be right at 69 inches.
The height is right at 12 inches tall. And one note on it is the backing plates are not to be used for mounting a fender to your trailer. But that should do it for the review on the etrailer galvanized steel rectangular backing plate for tandem-axle trailer fenders.

Good match for the fenders I got with my trailer. The steel was clean and welded nicely to the fender and to bend I made to seal against the frame. The usual paint prep is recommended for finishing the job.

Fenders & backing plates were received in a timely manner. The fit was perfect for my needs with a easy install. The packaging could have been more substantial, the shipping company really abused the shrink wrapping & allowed for several scratches that shouldn’t been there.

- Availability Of Round Style Trailer Fenders Between 35" and 24" Long And With Backing PlatesI do have a potential solution for you, but we do not carry a fender that will fit that description exactly. The closest we have is the # HP46VR. This is 36" long, 10-3/4" wide and 20" tall. This is the longest single axle fender that we carry. Everything else will be well under 35" long. For example we have the # HP48VR which is 32" long, 9" wide and 14" tall. We also have the backing plate # HP72FR. This is a 69" x 12" section of 18-gauge steel and would need to be cut to fit the fenders.
