Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq Submersible Mini LED Amber and Red Trailer Fender Clearance Light. Now, this is a dual clearance light that'll install on your trailer fender. You can see it is a clear lens, and it's over one red LED and one amber LED. Basically, the amber LED is designed to face the front of the trailer, and the red LED will face the rear of the trailer. It is a reversible assembly, so this can be installed on either the driver's side or the passenger's side fender.

They use premium LEDs, they are energy efficient, long lasting, and vibration resistant, they are rated for up to a 100,000 hours of operation. If you noticed, this is a sealed waterproof unit, does include this nice, durable polycarbonate housing and a UV resistant lens. They do use military grade construction of the circuit board of this light, they use urethane potting, which gives you better protection than the common epoxy potting, and as we mentioned, this is a surface mount design. Now, the installation hardware to install this is not included. Now, the distance between the mounting holes, center to center, is gonna be one inch.

They do offer an available cover for this that'll add a nice protective case over the light, we do sell that separately on our website, it's part number TN88XR, and it is listed on this product page as a related product. As you can see, it is a two wire pigtail, the length on the wires is about nine inches. The white wire is for the ground, the red wire is for the power. Now, at the end of this video, I'm gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power just to show you how bright the light is and the different colors. This does meet or exceed the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 standards.

It is for a quantity of one fender light, input voltage, a 9 volts to 14 volts, power draw of 0.04 to 0.07 amps. Last thing I wanna do is give you dimensions before we hook it up. But the overall length of the whole light edge to edge is 1 1/2 inches. The width of it is 3/4 of an inch, and the overall height on it is gonna be also right at 3/4 of an inch. So what I'm gonna do now is we're gonna go ahead and hook up our ground wire, and we'll go ahead and hook up our power.

Once we got them both hooked up, I'm gonna go ahead and turn on the 12 volt power, and you can see the light will come on just like that. And then I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead light, so you can be able to see. But if you noticed, if I turn this one, the red light is on this side, and if I turn it this way, you can see there's your amber light. There's your red light, so as we mentioned, the red light will face the rear of the trailer, the amber light will face the front of the trailer. You can see it does give off a nice bright shine. Go ahead and turn back on overhead lights, and we'll go ahead and turn off our power, disconnect it.
