Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this precut steel backing plate for the tandem axle trailer fenders. Now, this will help protect the side of your tandem axle trailer from any water or road debris using this fender backing plate. Now this backing plate is precut. You can see to fit and easily weld onto your tandem axle fender.
And this one is designed to fit a tandem axle trailer fender that has a 90 degree back and a one inch radius front. And we do sell that fender separately on our website. It's part number HP44VR. And what I wanted to do is show you what that fender look like. So, I got it down here, and if we can bring it up.
This is that fender. You can see this is a tandem axle trailer fender. And when I mentioned it has the 90 degree back, basically what that means is the back portion of this will have a 90 degree bend to the fender lip. And the front will have this nice one inch radius design. But basically, you can see that this backing plate has the right cut.
If I slide this back, you'll be able to see how it'll line up perfectly with this fender. And then just like that, you can see how you could weld it into position. And it'll give you a nice backing plate on your fender. Now, it'll fit this fender, but it will also fit other fenders that basically have a length of 66 inches. And a height from the bottom to the top of about 19 3/4 inches.
Now, this backing plate is a sturdy 18 gauge steel construction. It is made in the USA. Last thing I wanna do is just give you some measurements on the backing plate itself. We'll set the fender back down here. But basically the length on this backing plate, from this end, all the way over to this end is going to be, get it on there. Here we go. Right at 63 1/4 inches. And the height of this is gonna be right at 12 inches tall. And it is for a quantity of one backing plate. But that should do it for the review on this precut steel backing plate for tandem axle trailer fenders..
