The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side marker light.
Recessed-mount trailer lights install with a grommet, which is often sold separately. These lights extend past the trailer surface and require a hole for installation. If replacing a light, you can utilize the pre-existing hole. If installing a new light, you will need to cut a hole or use a mounting bracket (sold separately) to complete the installation.

Today, we're going to take a look at the LED Trailer Mini Clearance and Side Marker Light with the grommet. And this has a red lens. Now, this is a small round trailer light, which will function as both a clearance and a side marker light. When it's properly mounted, it is a PC rated light which produces 180 degree beam pattern. And it uses an LED which makes great replacements for incandescent lights because it lasts 50 times longer. They're much more efficient because they'll provide brighter light with less power output.
And of course, no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments to break.This light is in a durable polycarbonate housing and lens. You can see it has a red lens over a white LED. And this is compatible with 12 volts DC systems. It is recess mount, comes with the included grommet, and the wiring is a two wire pigtail wire which includes the black power wire and the white ground wire. Few dimensions on this, the diameter of the slide is three quarters of an inch.
Depth of it is about 15-16, 7 inch. And it is one LED, the power draw at 12 volts on this is 0.05, two amps. And this does come with a lifetime warranty on the LED.So, what I'm going to do now is hook this up to some 12 volt power, just to show you how bright it is. Go ahead and take her ground wire. We'll get to the light, we'll hook our power wire to the black, and with those connected, quit and turn on the power and you can see the red light.
What I'm going to do is go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and you can see how bright it is, and you can see the pattern, the 180 degree beam pattern it gives off. Very bright for one led. Turn back on our overhead lights, turn off our power.But that should do it for the review on the LED Trailer Mini Clearance and Side Marker Light with the grommet and the red lens..

Have used this product in the past with great success. Retro fit these to the top of a trailer frame, added a water activated switch and synthesizer and created runway lighting effect for nighttime launching and loading.
