The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side marker light.

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number BA65ARLB. This is the Optronics thin-line fender trailer clearance light assembly for trailers over 80 inches wide. It's going to have a pre-wired design, and this one's going to be for the left-hand side fender. The amber and red lights are going to function as both front and rear clearance lights for trailers more than 80 inches wide. This can be mounted on top or on the side of most fenders to mark the widest point of the trailer. Just keep in mind that red points towards the rear; amber points towards the front. Now the assembly's going to contain two MC65 sealed dual-bulb fender lights as well as a black plastic fender mount bracket.
Each light's going to feature a sealed, waterproof housing and lens unit design. They're also going to contain heavy duty long-life bulbs. Each light's going to have two bulbs inside of the lens and housing. It does have the pre-wired design, so you can see here it's going to have the exposed single-wire design for our power, and then the ground is going to connect right here to a mounting location. This unit is designed to ground through the mounting hardware. Mounting hardware is sold separately.
The length of wire that we have exposed from the end of the wire to the end of the channel here that it runs out of is going to give us a measurement of about 17 and 1/2 inches. Taking a look at the overall dimensions of the unit, starting with the overall length, that's going to give us a measurement of about 9 and 3/16ths of an inch in total length. Measuring the width from edge to edge, we're looking at about 4 and 11/16ths of an inch. Then the depth, or the height, is going to measure 1 and 7/8ths of an inch. Each light unit, we're talking about the amber and the red light, those are replaceable, and we offer those here on our website. This unit's also going to offer a five mount hole design, so you're going to have one, two, three, four, and five. The distance that we have, center on center, between these two mounting slots, it's going to give us a measurement of 7/8ths of an inch.
Center on center between these two, it's going to measure 1 and 7/16ths of an inch. Center on center between this mounting hole and this mounting location, we're looking at about 4 and 1/4. Center on center between this mounting hole and this mounting location, we're looking at about 6 and 1/2 inches. If you need one for the right-hand side of your trailer, so for the right-hand fender, you're going to find that light assembly here on our website using part number BA65ARRB. We're going to go ahead and hook this up to our external power source. That way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead light so you can see it in a low-light setting.
Here you can see you're going to have lights functioning. They're sending out a nice, strong signal, a lot of output. Each light unit's going to contain two bulbs. You're going to have the amber and the red, and again this assembly is going to function as both front and rear clearance lights for trailers more than 80 inches wide to indicate the widest point of your trailer. Easy to install and reliable
Great site, had what I was looking for, fast shipping. Finished the install today. They light up nice, an option for LED would be cool so you don't have to switch them out, but they will work just fine for what I need.
If you are replacing old trailer lights like I did, these do not have a separate ground wire that you would need to drill another hole through the fender. The ground is incorporated with one of the screw holes.

The lights were just what I needed. They were shipped out fast. The company as there to answer any questions I had.
I had actually bought smaller lights that just did not do the job. I have a 6x12 enclosed trailer. My concern was the need for both driver and passenger side lights, although I only needed driver side. The lens were very easy to swap for the passenger side fender. I was expecting to pay much more if I actually found fender lights that looked good, worked well, and easy to install.

The LEDs light up brightly. They're brighter than i expected! I bought enough to change out all my trailer lights, it worked out well. So far they've been through some extreme weather. I've used the trailer in heavy rain, high heat, through winter and freezing temps, and many washes. They haven't leaked and lenses still look great. It's only been a year and I'm hoping these will last many many more.
much better than the OEM that came with the cargo trailer. Now both have been replaced. tks.

Lights do not fit as tight as they should on the base (flimsy plastic holding clips)

Great top of fender marker lites. Makes seeing the exact location of the widest point of your trailer easy to see at night, as well as making it much more visible for other traffic to see at night
The only thing I dont like about the setup is it looks like you have to remove the whole housing inorder to change the light. I added led lights so hopefully they wont need to be changed as often.
